So we can really run acritical eye over Tommy. Croz, Griff, Suban, Ibbo, Johnno, Dawson, Clarke, Ballas, Sandi, Blakely, Langdon as their contracts expire this year.

My predictions for those out of contract in 2017:

Sheridan will get two years
Crozier - 2 years
Griff - retire
Suban - 2 years (and my head will explode)
Ibbo - 1 year / possibly 2
Johnno - retire
Dawson - retire
Clarke - 1 year contract extensions from here on OR he'll leave through FA if he gets a better offer
Ballas - 1 year contract extentions from here on
Sandi - 1 year contracts to continue
Blakely - 3 years
Langdon - 2 years (if he stays - FINGERS CROSSED)
Mundy - 1 year contracts from here on
Taberner - 1 year
Collins - 2 years
Tucker and Balic will be offered 3 years, but I predict one of them will head home to Vic. Most likely to be Balic IMO.

Fyfe - as long as he wants. 7 years / $12 mil contract suits me.

Somebody needs to be sacked.
I have just unfortunately read the Hackdorn article on WAToday. D Pearce contracted to end of 2018 -what a stuff up? Even Sam Mitchell has only had 1 year contracts since he was 30. I hope the trade off for Pearce was a very low contract amount.

One more year and he'd be giving 300 games a nudge. Staggering.

We can't delist 10 people in 1 year.

He is not at the top of my list for players to delist, although i hope he plays some WAFL this year and next.

I've said this in other threads, but D Pearce is one of the most consistent players in the AFL (seriously).

Since his Debut year he has average 20 games a year. The lowest amount of games has played is 19. His average possessions has barely deviated. Averages 20 possessions per game, year in year out.

I know people don't like what he brings to the table (for mine i think ALOT of it has to do with poor coaching / structures). But he is remarkably consistent.

I don't see him dropping off a cliff any time soon. Yes his age means he is closer to the end than the beginning but we have Griffin, Johnson, Dawson who are older and in much worse form + genuine spuds like Suban to go before him.

I'm comfortable with him having a contract until 2018 based on what we knew at the time. The same way i'm comfortable we did not give Ballatyne 2 years last year.

I think the word you're looking for is 'durable', he's anything but consistent.

Can we do a transplant of D. Pearce's calves for Harley Bennell's calves? Wouldn't mind 20 games every year from Harley.

Well said. Would you like to be his second buddy? Reginald Perrin has dropped the ball with DP.

consistent yes. consistently mediocre, and it looks like it's finally sunk in for Ross and co.

Balic will go which is a shame coz I thnk he has some talent. Tucker I hope not coz I thik he has a role to play for us.

But younger the ave squad age; better the list will be according to the hacks, so Sandi better go too.

Why would Balic go? He's not only in the B22 now, he's getting to play inside already alongside some of the best midfielders in the AFL. I very much doubt he'd repay Freo drafting him when other clubs didn't, and take the significant risk with his wrist injury. He almost considered retiring! I would be shocked if asked to be traded and I doubt Freo would entertain that idea yet either.

Will probably go. I'm hazarding a guess. Werent his parents not keen on him coming over here? I think there was some half-arsed attempt at passing it off as a joke after it blew up.
