This is right - long kick to a 50/50 is considered effective. Even if possession taken by opposition

I'm really happy how he is playing now. This is what I expected at the start of the year and just after he got dropped I lost a bit of faith. We need run and carry from the defensive end. He offers this.

Just needs to work on one-on-one contests.

fwiw, i think the exact criteria is 40m+ to a contest. such are the whims of CD

Martin Gleeson has been cleared of an elbow injury and is expected to line-up when the Bombers take on the Western Bulldogs this Sunday.

The Essendon defender fell awkwardly during the win over North Melbourne.

He received treatment on the sideline and returned to play out the match with strapping around his arm.

“Luckily for Marty he caught his weight with both hands because one of his elbows hyperextended,” High Performance Manager Justin Crow said.

“Thankfully his full weight didn’t go through it.

“It was sore, we strapped it up during the game and he played on.

“He’ll be ok to train tomorrow and available to play.”
