Has taken more contested marks this season than Travis Cloke and has played fewer games....

And interestingly Darcy Moore has taken more contested marks than Cloke, Redpath, Stringer, Crameri, Dickson and Boyd put together....

This is the same Travis Cloke that is battling depression this season right?

Also, Cloke averages 12 disposals and 4 marks this year per game with a 1 goal average.

Cox is averaging 7 disposals and 2 marks with a 1 goal average.

Cox simply doesn't take enough marks to be a key forward and he doesn't do enough around the ground to be a genuine ruckman.

He's rubbish.

Exactly l highly doubt that LeCras will be at West Coast next year, so they would want a Fas type to come along.

Elliot and Fasolo are both small forwards. Despite having good marking ability, their game depends on crumbing/marking on a lead/setting up plays. Medium forwards are ones with strong body work, who are too strong for small defenders, but too agile for tall defenders, which is what Darling is and is something neither Elliot or Fasolo provides.

We have too many players that are good because they have this versatility to go through the midfield, but it's completely wasted and useless when there just isn't a spot for them there. This reminds me of Moneyball, we have invested too much resources into parts of the game that sets up the primary goal of each match, that is kicking goals.

Even if we overpay for 2 goals a game (Why are you using 1.8... Of course forwards are going to score less in their rookie years, dragging the average down), and it's the sort of performance we can expect in the future, at least 40 goals in a season. This 40 goals means more to us than most other clubs, we just need genuine forwards who kicks goals, ignore contribution up the ground, tackling pressure and bs, goal kicking is what we need. Regardless, pick 6 is obviously too much. Perhaps we should just do Sidebottom(If he's happy to go, IF, so those of you that are typing about this being unviable stop it now, all hypothetical trades at this trade)+pick 6 for Lever and pick 17. Pick 17 for Jack Darling (especially fair given his output).

Dunn has shown us no reason to really not have him as best 22 (plus with Goldy on the bench backing up) and I think a forward structure lining up as Reid, Moore and Darling will stretch a lot of defenses as it means one is packing up the third/forth defender. Having a taller forward line means I put Kirby in over Aish as it should result in more lose ball at ground level for a genuine goal sneak forward like Kirby to feed of.

Guess it depends on how it falls. if Darling wants to leave and west Coast want Fas to replace LeCras that puts Collingwood in the box seat. If Collingwood have the higher ground and may be able to push for a straight swap. Probably me trying to more to the club than is probably realistic.

If it can happen should we really care about the Sun? They amy be more tempted than it seems. new coach would love to have 2 more first round picks at his disposal and if Lynch and Martin even have the inkling of wanting to leave I think they would let them as they have with the like of O'Meara etc.

WHE in my opinion needs be played as a forward, he can be that medium sized defensive forward, the game is going down the path of more mobile smaller forward lines.

Pies are going to move heaven and earth to get Lynch, this has been in the works for 3 years.

Darling is a crab. If we are going to target someone then lets throw everything at a Lynch type rather than waste coin and time on another Jesse or Darling.

I actually didn't mind Jesse but he was never going to be the answer. Just a bandaid until one of our draftees was ready or someone else came along.
