yep.
Swans are the Dogs of this year imo (in that they are the only team that can win it outside the top 4).

Im glad we got to 7th
Its a good result for a team that had to reintegrate 7-8 players into the 22 with 7-8 players they had never played with before, under a coaching panel they had never worked under before.

We'll cop flak if we lose because our finals history is poor for the last decade. But the season was a lot of right steps and a few disappointing ones.
Losing to Sydney @ SCG in an Elim wouldn't a be step back though. A win will be a massive step forward.
But 2018 onwards is looking promising.
well had your mob finished 8th and tigers 5th, I reckon essendon would of won this week. Essendon has a history of winning finals from7th and 8th spot. Still remember in 2003 freo finished 5th and lost to an 8th placed Essendon.

Miniscule. Minute.

We're a small chance to beat the Swans.

To win four games in a row against the best in the league?

I don't want to say zero, but yeah, not gonna happen.
It would be the biggest finals boil over in a while

If they get within 5 goals of Sydney they've done well. Buddy usually loves playing them too.

yeah like last time when we didn't kick a goal

They won't win like Geelong and Sydney. Essendon have no chance in hell of winning the flag.

* Vince McMahon strut.

Well, technically they have a chance.

Hawthorn don't though, you know....because they didn't make finals.

Aside from the fact that I reckon the Doggies had better exposed H/A form last year, Essendon is WAY too leaky at the back to win the flag this year. They are definitely capable of winning a final or two but eventually they will get exposed in defense.

Good team to watch when on though.
It's not our defence. It's our midfield. I think we've conceded the second or third most inside 50s in the comp this year.

Our defensive efficiency per inside 50 is pretty good. Our midfield however gives our defence hardly any protection.

That's why we can't be compared to the dogs of last year. Also why I give us almost no chance of winning. We're already up against it this week.

Sorry when I say defense I mean as in the team/gamestyle, not specifically the defenders. I also don't think it is entirely your midfields fault either. They are not really setup with defense first in mind. Makes for good watching but does leave you vulnerable to scores against especially if your midfield is down as you say.

In order to win i think we'd need to have at least really turned our running and disposal up a notch at training and i mean really switched it on..

Shall I keep waiting for a month or do you want to rethink your boast ;)

Nothing will change in a month you peanut, you still wont have made finals and as of now Essendon do not hold the wooden spoon, are you semi ******ed?

Must be burning Carlton fans that we are playing finals after finishing last in 2016 :D
I couldn't be happier. Watching your mob get your pants pulled down v.s. going out quietly in 9th was totally worth it, love seeing *Essendon get humiliated over and over again :D
