No use? Our ruck stocks are quite average at best. Darcy will be good but Sandilands is done, the big man won't play much in 2018. Next best is Griffin who has knee issues and really isnt that great anyway and then we have Clarke who I don't rate that highly.

Tippett wont cost much, Sydney need to get his salary off their books. We need a decent backup ruckman for when one of Sandilands/Griffin/Clarke go down as they have done for the past two seasons. He can also take a pretty good contested mark up forward. These guys don't grow on trees, we are lucky Darcy is developing so quickly as a ruck, if we draft another one whoever it is will take 2 years at least to develop in the WAFL. This is where Tippett comes in for a couple of seasons, allows us to develop our list, put pressure on McCarthy, Taberner, Kersten up forward and provide backup for young Darcy.

As mentioned he won't cost much, Sydney will most likely want a player but potentially whatever pick we receive for Balic could be sent over to Sydney or some may not agree but Nic Suban i'd be throwing up.
He is just sooooooooo injury prone

The Sydney fans over here get so frustrated with him

Feels like another Bennell to be honest. Sign for 2 years and sit on the sidelines.

However if his body get right it's worth a go as he is a good ruck forward when on song

I think I'm going to vomit if I read more Tippett nonsense. Harley already said that him and Aliir have been taken off the trade table and we said we're not trading in people of his age. Move on from talking about that garbage player.

Sandilands has another year - which means it gives us another year at least of assessing or drafting other options. Who knows in 12 months time what our game-plan will be and if we even need the # of Rucks on our list that we have now. Who knows where Apeness will be ETC.

Haha Denham.

West Coast probably, but did have a medical at Fremantle.

I mean are guys just this dumb?

It's like saying I saw a guy order the parmigiana and it is now sitting in front of him and everything points to him eating it. That said, there is a second meal available at this establishment, so he'll probably eat the steak burger.

Fremantle = parmigiana
West Coast = steak burger

Gold stamp!! Nice work Cobbler :)

Yea Colin Young literally said that Freo and Gold Coast were to discuss a trade. He's coming to Freo. I'm not sure how I feel about it tbh. Pretty sure he won't be a disaster (outside of potentially paying too much) but at the same time I'm not overly excited by his addition.

Could easily be a Colin Sylvia. Hoping he's not as he has talent to burn and much younger then when Colin came to us.

Always happens with young.... leaks it,then a destination is identified, then another party if involved to push up the price of the player.

"There is also lingering uncertainty around the future of fellow Demons forward Jesse Hogan, with industry sources suggesting he is no guarantee to remain at Melbourne next year despite also having two years remaining on his contract.

Hogan's hometown club Fremantle is believed to be circling. A Hogan trade to the Dockers could help enable the Dees to find a suitable trade for Lever, who looks bound for Melbourne after the Crows' grand final appearance this weekend."

This one's in the age. Still unlikely I think but it doesn't seem to be going away

Ok I'll entertain Hogan stuff.

How about first round downgrade and next years first?

So 5 and 2018 1st for 10 and Hogan?

Gives us a chance to grab a reasonable mid at 10. Sure we lose 2018 1st in a stacked draft, but Hogan would be worth whatever we were hoping to pick up in 2018.

If it also takes a Balic? Why not.

Thoughts?

Along these lines, however i would rather get their 2018 first then this years in that situation.

I just don't think pick 5 + Balic is even close to fair :( would we have given away Pavlich in 03 for pick 5 and some 4 game rookie? I do think Balic will be a gun however.

Definitely, a future pick would also be required.

Balic, pick 5 and our first rounder next year for Hogan, their 3rd rounder this year and their 2nd rounder in 2018?
