Surprised Callan England and Jake Patmore aren't coming up in people's conversations. England took out the Claremont colts B&F in their grand final team, and is a beautiful player to watch, and Jake Patmore is a jet.

IMO England would be a good rookie prospect .

No idea where the "experts" think he'll go.
I know KM had him going at 24 (I think), his draft was bought out the day after I selected him in our mock draft. Very little had been said until then I think.
I've also since found out Bishop rates him too. Bishop for me is the number 1 on this forum out of the experts.

On draft day, who knows but for someone that hasn't been spoken about very much, I think he looks a gem.

Ballard will go around pick 35. I hope the Eagles have a close look with picks 32 or 37.

Yes, I want Patmore in blue and gold, the Eagle's variety. Maybe with 69.

Guess we can discuss the de-listed 5 here.

Firstly I'm glad that Hill has been shown the door and I hope it stays well shut. Fingers, toes, legs, touching wood - everything crossed we don't keep a rookie position open for him. Let him become a full time WAFL player if he wants it.

Wellingham is the biggest player disappointment out of 2017 for me. Maybe I'd always concentrated on the positive side to his game pre this yearbut the way he fell off the selection cliff in a way during 2017 was something I didn't see coming at all. Think due to his experience he can be considered the most unlucky out of the 5 and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was re-rookied or at a third club in 2018. Handy depth for any club.

Lamb has been such a tease. All the talent but no application and inside desire. Maybe he didn't want to play in the seconds and felt entitled to a regular game in the AFL side but he just wasn't willing to work hard when it really counted. The pre draft summations in 2014 of a player that can have a lazy work rate have been absolutely correct so far. Hope he turns it around whether as a rookie with us or at another club.

Tom has time on his side and if he isn't on our list next year I still genuinely wish him good luck.

Gorter I was never a big wrap for and never grasped why we went down that path in the rookie draft last year. May have been a decision from someone within the club that had watched a lot of East Perth and Gorter.

Snadden I think will be better off without the alignment and EP, similar to how Main has developed his game further at Souths since moving back there.

All in all I wouldn't be angry if we re-rookied Lamb and Snadden although hardly done by maybe may end up back at Shark Park.

This poor overhead thing about Pridda is crap. Sure, he couldn't take a big hang, (couldn't get off the ground [emoji23]) but his hands were pretty solid and has taken plenty of strong marks . If constable is half as good as a Brownlow medalist, then good , pull the trigger . But we have all been crying out for a different type of midfield to what we have had for the last 10 years . Constable represents same same .

Priddis was so poor overhead most times he couldn’t even spoil and even if Constable doesn’t have a lot of pace he would be much quicker as well. Sometimes just pure ability is better than raw pace.

You're a bit late. It has been discussed ad nauseam in here for the last few days...

I think he may go a tad earlier but pure speculation of course.
We'll find out in three or so weeks.

I've booked draft day off work...My work colleagues can't believe I've actually booked the day off for it but it's a worth even in my books.
Big one this year.

Great call. What time does the first pick usually happen?

Bloody great idea. First thing Monday I will book a day off too. I am guessing if there is a telecast, it will be foxtel, so that screws me. So I will have to watch online I guess.
