I watched the three champs games in WA and as you say he wasn't anything special until the allies game when he did have a good game

In those games I kept on eye on Christian ameduri as well because I like the way his older brother, Julian, plays at EP but he's a few cms too short for AFL. Christian has that extra height so if he shares his older brothers tenacity he might be worth a shot as a rookie as he performed just as well as Starcevich in the games I saw

I agree re Julian Ameduri. We have often said he would be on an AFL if he was even a little taller

Cant say I see an inside mid in those highlights. Looks more like a sizable HFF that loves a goal and can hit the ball at seed through the guts occasionally.
Probably just the highlights package but would have liked to see more of his congestion work.

Liked the highlight at 1:23 but gave up half way through. Too many highlights were just shots at goal. Think showed maybe two contested possessions in the first half.

Can't draw much of an inference from that.

I think 37 is a stretch. This is his 6th draft so to date 500 picks have been taken before him.

But a pick in the 40s or 50s in a weaker draft is about right but we dont have a pick in the 40s or 50s

He's not really an inside mid, that's why. But he still offers something we don't have much of, namely highly attacking outside runners as opposed to accumulators.

People are just desperate because our midfield sitch is so dire. He can win his own ball for sure, but highly doubt he'd be an inside mid at AFL level.
