Lifelong friend of Parish, bring him down to Bombers will stop Parish wanting to go up to the Lions.
Can't see him going around again with us. With addition of Lobbe and TDK, plus Kreuz, Levi, Rowe and possibly McKay...

I’d like Kruezer to be 80/10/10. He’s gone a great fitness base and he is in his peak age bracket.I don't think anyone disagrees that Kreuzer should be the only ruck
He's main strengths are tackling, pressure acts and endurance. He just can't impact the game when he's spending 60 ruck, 20 forward and 20 bench.
Plus then we have Lobbe or Phillips stinking up our forward line.
The tractor will just tractor on in the ruck ruck/ rover and bulldoze his way through .I’d like Kruezer to be 80/10/10. He’s gone a great fitness base and he is in his peak age bracket.
I like the thought of Levi’s 100+ kgs of knees flying thru the air crushing defenders spines & ribs. He’s a massive unit when you get up close to him & reckon his knees should be put to good use clearing a path thru defenders & putting the fear of god in their minds that a plugger sized flying freight train is heading straight for them. Drop back & clog the forward line in your own peril. Also - didnt Caz kick the most goals & get the most taps & marks as a designated 2nd ruck for the competition last season ? Thought i read that somewhere?Unfortunately for Caz, he just doesn't work hard enough up forward, or offer enough in the ruck to counteract this issue. These days you simply cannot have someone clogging up the space 30m out directly in front, and imo we would have a better forward line if he wasn't there drawing the ball to that spot.
anyway just my thoughts
I’d prefer Kreuz to be a 36-24-36... & wear a Marilyn Monroe wig... but thats just me..I’d like Kruezer to be 80/10/10. He’s gone a great fitness base and he is in his peak age bracket.
I like the thought behind this post and think that you have exactly the right structure, however I think you have some of the wrong type of personnel.
IMHO you need to structure a modern forward line with the following:
2 talls : however they have to be mobile talls, that not only mark well, but are prepared to separate and work hard defensively as well as offensively. This splits the tall defenders, creates space and makes things difficult for the intercept marking backman.
2 medium forwards : one must be a smart lead lead-up forward that can use the space created by the constant movement (think Stevie J), and the other must be a threat from 50 to further stretch the zone.
1 elite small : must have pace, real crumbing ability and ferocious tackler.
For mine the way to way to beat a zone is to move it around and stretch out the space they need to cover.
So with that in mind I would go for a forward line of:
Talls - Kruz, Harry and CC. All mobile forwards that are a real danger to mark the pill if left one on one. Obviously Kruz would need to take all the centre bounces but I love the Idea of creating a mismatch with Charlie when Kruz needs a rest by having CC take the ruck around the ground.
Medium forwards - I like Jack as the leading forward, I think he's a genius at find space and getting free, if our mids lowered their eyes a bit he could have kicked 20 more goals last year. For the other forward I really like the idea of Cuners, Willo or Mullet in this role.
Small forward - I like any of Murph, Pickett, Garlett or Wright for this role.
Unfortunately for Caz, he just doesn't work hard enough up forward, or offer enough in the ruck to counteract this issue. From memory many of his shots at goal were from fairly tight angles, with relatively few coming from the corridor. Also need Jack to kick it through the big sticks, his goal tally could be increased with improved accuracy from his set shots (easy shots missed as well).
Thought he was an accurate kick when drafted, good around the ground. Fitness may play a part and being knackered when lining up for his set shots from his working to get into position.

Also, his kicking seems fine. Just needs some confidence. He doesn't have technique issue ala Casboult.

Not going to be able to keep this a secret for long.Just saw the picture of Harry McKay in the HUN, hair cut short and his biceps & shoulders have exploded. He's no skinny twig anymore, they have put in an enormous amount of work to get him capable of withstanding the rigours of senior footy.
Still need to keep a lid on it.
Not Carlton related but Essendon are throwing the bank at Ollie Wines (unlikely to leave) and Rhys Mathieson.
They are clearly trying to fill the void that Jobe left.

But are our midfield going to get enough ball and then be able to deliver it accurately to a forward line stacked with up to 5 talls?Just had some hearty discussion with some Crows fans and I have to say I made a point which made myself feel more optimistic about our scoring ability this year. It's not so much that we will dramatically improve, moreso some sides look pretty edible down back..
Say this is our front six against the crows back six, we can really go tall as they look slow as s*** and pretty incompetent with ball in hand:
Adelaide:
Brown Talia Keith
Pickett Casboult McKay
Kelly Hartigan Laird
Silvagni Curnow Weitering
Like, I feel we could really lock it in and get a hold of that defence.
Collingwood as another example:
Maynard Dunn Scharenberg
Pickett Casboult Mackay
Crisp Moore Howe
Cuningham Curnow Weitering
Essendon:
Gleeson Hartley Ambrose
Pickett Curnow Weitering
Saad Hurley McKenna
Garlett Casboult Fisher
Freo:
Wilson Hamling Logue
Pickett Curnow Weitering
Hughes Pearce Ryan
Silvagni Casboult Garlett
Port:
Hombsch Jonas Byrne-Jones
Mckay Casboult Garlett
Pittard Clurey Houston
Pickett Weitering Curnow
To me we look like exposing quite a few opposition defences with at least one tall if we get some good continuity into our front half.
Have five forwards play tight games and target one defender we can really expose with a Curnow, McKay, Weitering or Casboult.

I recently heard a similar thing from Claremont - apparently they still won't shut up about himA whisper I've heard is that out of all our young talent, SPS is the one rated most highly. Which makes my mouth water since personally I have Cripps and Charlie ahead of him. (Both on potential and output to date)
From memory many of Jack Silvagni's shots at goal were from fairly tight angles, with relatively few coming from the corridor.
equally true is the fact the too often his leads to correct space were ignored or botched by scrubber kicks from a nuff nuff midfield last year. That's because he struggles to get separation from defenders in more dangerous positions.
