Isn't it cute how the crows have copied those video's we did over the past few years of Ken Hinkley informing players they've been picked to debut.

But apparently we're a bit slow on the uptake with this social media thing.....
Pyke looked robotic when addressing the players and lacks the compassion & enthusiasm that Ken did, it also looked a lot more staged compared to when we did it.

Good luck to the lads anyways, no matter which team it's always good to see excited debutants get a crack, they can't help where they were drafted after all lol.

Let’s not pretend we invented the telling players they’re debuting videos. Cmon guys

We invented the telling AFL players they’re debuting videos IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA, which is good enough for the parameters of this discussion.

I was going to post about this but then I thought - they have no originality, none of their own ideas and they copy us so much that this is just par for the course.

Looking forward to GDV being their idea too.

As far as AFL is concerned, we kinda did.

There’s a stark difference between adapting ideas from other leagues around the world and blatantly plagiarising your neighbours.

Have to say ive really enjoyed watching the grand final replay numerous times this off season

I've been tempted to, but it won't be the same as on the day when I had the privilege of watching "classy" Crows people go from being excited and glued to the screen, to screaming racist obscenities at the TV when the tables were turning, to completely disinterested once they were losing. Good times :thumbsu:

This song fits perfectly with it:

I want Carlton slapped silly tonight just to highlight this dud vic centric season opener for the umpteenth time, Essendon surely won't blow it tomorrow night they'll never get Adelaide at better time with their departures, injuries etc.

I feel dirty. I just laughed at something lehmo did on radio. He said the AFL had come up with a new song for the crows and then played Xenophons SA best rap. Did lol.

Yeah but they release theirs on VHS via Blockbuster as this new internet thing is just a fad, and they don't want to follow us down that rabbit hole.

Dons have lost last 4 to cows by average of 11 goals. They are also missing a host of players to injury. I sense the loser of this one could be one of those teams that had high pre-season expectations that doesn't go on to deliver much.

Yeah, but it's not like there's any team chemistry to upset at Carlton.

Lobbe not even named amongst the 4 emergencies ... a fourth emergency was introduced to give clubs more flexibility to name a ruck.

Poor fella

Hard to be named when you've done a a quad.

Yeah ok, my point was double-barrelled. Either Carlton are taking the piss out of the new emergency settings, or the settings were not necessary (or both).

Edit: Apparently McKay is their back-up ruck.

I'm more surprised that Cam O'Shea was only named as an emergency. With Docherty out for the season his intercept marking and run off half-back could be invaluable. He was overtaken here as a half-back but looks to have picked up the pieces and anyway, beggars can't be choosers.
