I think it is an indication that we are better than the bottom 4 teams. I also think it is an indication that Scott hasn't fully embraced the rebuild. We only played 8 players with under 50 games experience. As good as Thompson has been I'm not sure we should be playing him if we are, as everyone has been saying, in the middle of a rebuild. The same goes for Goldstein and Waite.
The big wins against mediocre opposition like St. Kilda and Carlton are nice, but are they short term positives that are going to sabotage our long term objectives?

It has to be a middle ground between full rebuild, just playing the kids. And playing Thompson, Goldy, Higgins (to a much lesser degree), Waite, and even Tazz for 22 games. Neither approach serves us best long term.

But getting a third of a season into the young KPP and some other young mids surely has to be what we are looking to do. That will still see us with a top 5 pick.

Very good points. Don't get me wrong I have loved these big wins but for a so-called "rebuilding side" we are fielding a fairly experienced and oldish team, and we all know that there is a ton of work to do for us to be back up and contending again. The long term strategy can not be compromised.

Q, When Maj was run down by Garlett, did he get his boot to the ball or did it come off the Carlton players boot ?

It came off Maj's boot (more like shin) but hit the deck first. Hence dropping the ball.

Don’t waste time or energy with ‘it’s only Carlton’ stuff.

Enjoy a great win. Soak it up. That’s what footy is about.

Roll again next week.

The funny part is, those saying ‘it’s only Carlton’, are the same posters who think we should be doing what Carlton are doing. Which is exactly 5 5ths of **** all. They are the poster boys of tanking.

Was at the game with a mate and he’s phone service provider is Telstra.

On their metre tracker it has who’s run the hardest in attack and defense.

Top five runners in attack- all Carlton
Top five runners in defense - all nmfc

Says it all really

How good is JB commentating our game.

If he wasn’t there, it would of been the first game in the history of the sport where the team that was doing the flogging and spanking, wasn’t mentioned.

Just have to tell JB that jed didn’t cost us a first rounder

Thoughts on Goldys game? Seems to look at the umpire a lot for free kicks recently.
I thought aggression wise he was a lot better.....but Kruezer was definitely off. Didnt get a lot of stats I think, but he competed better. So I thought it was a step in the right direction if he keeps doing it.

Anyone old enough to remember the bullshit we'd cop while packed into Princes Park when the Blues were up and about savours every single victory we have over them, regardless of circumstance. F*** 'em!
