Richmond have a plan that revolves around playing at one ground - the MCG.

They have now won 12 in a row there.

Away from there they fall to bits.


Last year, 2017:

At the MCG: 12/14

All other venues: 6/11

Against top 8 sides at venues other than MCG: 1/4
[Solitary win against Port; Port had more shots and 15 more inside 50s, but lost due to inaccuracy]


This year so far, 2018:

At the MCG: 5/5

All other venues: 0/1



Luckily for them they get FOURTEEN regular season matches there this year and the Grand Final is guaranteed there as well.


If you were alien to this competition and saw this for the first time you wouldn't discount that the whole thing was rigged.

If it's as reported, Lyon made some innapropriate comments and then self-reported. Poor conduct in the workplace, but not a hanging offence.

The victim was understandably offended and felt they could no longer work there, she received compensation. Loss of earnings and emotional distress. Fair enough.

What I can't fathom, is why they signed a non disclosure agreement. This was always going to come out and be subject to rampant speculation, which no one can comment on. Far more damaging than Lyon admitting to acting inappropriately.

If it was done to protect the victim, that makes some sense. If it was done to protect the club, it's just ridiculous.

I totally agree that the talk about them this week is ridiculous given they lost by seven goals.

That being said, outside of Richmond I don’t think we have any clear top four teams. Pretty much every club has given us reason to doubt them. I’d probably give the Giants the nod as another top four team but other than that between Sydney, Adelaide, Port, West Coast, Hawthorn and Collingwood I’m still not 100% who the next best teams are.

I’m confident the Pies make the eight, maybe not the four, but my point is they are almost a good a shot as any at this stage.

Got 'kissed on the dick' with an extra home game which they probably would of lost if they played it on the Gold Coast
