That's high praise but a fair comparison. Choppy, though, if he'd played 10 years later, would have been suspended for high contact several times. Not a criticism, it was legal at the time.

Jed hits low and well, and his technique on the bump is flawless. Best part is, after he does it he's up again and looking for the next contest. His movement is cat like at times. I've never seen anything like it. The most exciting prospect out of several this year, the way he's playing.

He is like a more elegant Choppy, Pickett played in an era where players were hurt playing the game, in retrospect we can look back and see the human toll and don't really want to see players destroyed physically to entertain us. Anderson has Pickett's aggression, but he has a level of restraint or care which the current era demands, he puts on great bumps, great acts of courage and he does it within the rules and desires of the modern era.

He's EASILY our best 2 way player at the moment.

Been an absolute masterstroke swapping Anderson for Ziebell given the defensive impact of Jed.

Absolute work horse, has become one of our best players, and one of our most important. Just keeps getting better and better.

Averaging over the last 5 rounds:

22.5 disposals, 5.2 tackles, 5.5 clearances, 95 rankings points.

If he finishes with those averages at the end of the season, he should finish top 15 in clearances and top 30 in tackles.

He's actually a much better clearance mid than Ziebell amazingly.
