We were efficient in scoring but my memory was Richmond seemed to be on top around the ground.

I don't blame him for being pissed off either. I would be pissed off if my incompetence was being called out in front of the national media as well.

Whether the club has deliberately been lying to its supporters or whether they have been upfront and honest is 100% irrelevant.

The media department has botched the message from the get go. The handling of Brad Crouch, Riley Knight, Tex Walker, Rory Sloane et al - has been piss poor and that falls on Shutts. The message hasn't been consistent and that falls on him. He needs to get the players, the footy department and the marketing team all on the same page.

He is either incompetent or a liar. Either way its a terrible look for our club.

The team the AFC put on the park is all I really need to know.

If the club gain even a slight advantage over other sides by not telegraphing the ins and outs of a ducks arse about our individual players injuries, then I trust them to do that.

That said, this spate of injuries does appear to be out of the ordinary and the reason for that as a whole should be investigated.

Yeah except when the accused liar isn't the one getting angry. If you listened to the audio it wasn't anyone from the AFC getting angry, it was idiot Rowe according to 5aa and Shuts was the one telling him to "calm down mate."

I am 100% convinced Tex and the boys had overdosed on Koolaid and bathwater leading up to that game and thought all they had to do was rock up and take the cup.

Also believe Pyke knows the mindset of the team is a bit like that and the Stance and Mindfulness training is about eradicating that attitude from our playing group.

We didn’t gameplan for them. We changed nothing and just rocked up like the gameplan that smashed them earlier in the year would prevail again. They did the opposite.

Yes, I'm sure in the lead up to the GF the coaches just looked at the game plan and went, "Yep, all good. No need to worry about scouting Richmond. I'm sure we'll roll them easy." and then took the rest of the week off to soak up the GF atmosphere.

Seriously, it's ridiculous to suggest that they wouldn't have been doing everything they possibly could to give them team the best chance of winning the GF.

It's a directive. Plenty of Melbourne blokes are instructed to be unsociable, whereas we were the opposite while he was here. Bernie sees the opportunity a little more than others though, I guess. He isnt any harder at the ball to be honest, but at the man, far more.
