Why do people keep bringing up the Bruce commentary?

One of the most electric, exciting and ‘one of a kind’ players has just retired and you are thinking about commentary.

Some people are just bizarre. Bruce went over the top because he loved him and got excited every time he went near it. Not rocket science ...

No player has a better highlights real and the most remarkable thing about it is it’s brilliance is that it’s mostly pressure acts.

The most selfless less star who did all the things we love about the game with magic.

I wonder if we will ever see someone like him again.

Some people are just bizarre. Bruce went over the top because he loved him and got excited every time he went near it. Not rocket science ...

You wouldn't understand, because Cyril was wearing brown and gold. Watching him was always fun, and watching him do it against your team was always hard, but sometimes you just want to enjoy a player in their own right without having how great they are shoved down your throat. Especially given Cyril's inconsistency at times, which never factored into the commentary on all those friday nights in 2012-15. Its the same case with Dangerfield since his move to Geelong, the channel seven team need a paramedic on hand when he wins a clearance or kicks a goal.

Anyway, well played Cyril. An exceptional career. Your two cousins are good in their own right, but very few players will ever reach the heights that you did in full flight.

In the AFL era? Plugger, Buddy, Abletts Senior and Junior, Carey - can't think of any more. Bloody good company. Betts didn't get going early enough, though his latter years were up there.

Even as a hawk and someone who loves Cyril the Bruce commentary was brutal to have to sit through. Now imagine being the opposition fans who are having Cyril do what he does AND have Bruce losing his shit and drooling over him. Can see how it would put people off him

I dont recall any unsavory moments from Cyril, seemed a real fair yet hard at it player, which can be forgotten as we remember the easy things like him being super slick, insane skills, great game sense, insane athleticism and a hungry tackler. Seemed to be a real heart and soul player of Hawthorn and the only actual good bloke they had But seriously, will miss seeing him play.

With absolutely no knowledge on his 'personal issues' I hope that everything works out for him.
