Agreed, I think the 'extra' ban of permanent removal of Captaincy/leadership positions and maybe one series would have been appropriate, given the fact they lied to CA in the internal investigation, but one year ban has the unintended side effect of dredging up the PR nightmare for the side again when they come back. Would have been better to rip it off like a bandaid and get it all over with within a few months of it happening.

From the little I've seen, it's a mish-mash of those cringey 'match notes Ch.10 used to run at quarter breaks in their footy coverage, and 'Bart's People'. Yuk.

What's the obsession with 25 and under? Surely pick the in form middle order batsmen (whoever it is). Mike hussey was over 30 when he debuted. People are so obsessed with age rather than form.

Hussey began making runs from day 1 and never stopped making them. Marsh was selected as a young man and he been inconsistent ever since. He hasn't improved. You can handle inconsistency in a younger player with ability, hoping he will tighten his technique and become more consistent with experience. There is no room in any team for a 35 year old who only makes runs when he's on the cusp of being dropped. Teams rely upon their experienced players to perform in order to win games. Great performances from younger players are a bonus.

Marsh has become the first player to make less than 10, 6 innings (I think it is 6) in a row since 1888. If that's not enough reason to be dropped, then God only knows what it would take.
