Wouldn't surprise me if they offered a promotion for 2020.

But not overly cunning.stunt
The worst remains Melbourne's sad attempt at history by assigning the youngest two captains ever, a few years ago.But not overly cunning.
What's wrong with captain, vice and deputy FFS?
noone here knows whats happening and neither do i
my gut feel is that he will stay but thats prob because i dont trust the AFL and Paul Connors.
Why.
Because they don't have an identity, and spreading club honors works as an investment tool.
Yeah, but then again, being captain at a team with a good culture didn't stop Colbert wanting to pull on the royal blue and white!Wouldn't surprise me if they offered a promotion for 2020.
Doesn't Carlton have 3 captains?
Investment tool is totally correct though, but when your captain title is meaningless due to how much of a handout it is, whats the point.
The title of leadership role is superfluous now thanks to these kinda moves. It's the little things that will disintegrate the integrities of the game.
Young blokes don't understand that. You need to remember that they're just footballers, and most of them would struggle to have 100 I.Q.'s.
Surely Josh is smart enough to realise he's being buttered up big time here.
No coincidence either.Of course, and truth is that he belongs in their leadership group regardless of not signing another contract with them.
It's no mistake Coniglio's there either.

Colleague at work asked me if Tom Brady was captain of the New England Patriots and I explained that American football teams have up to 6 captains mainly because they're idiots, unlike AFL clubs. But then there's Carlton.
