One week for Selwood coming up. A strike is a strike.

Esava, Hawk and Gaz.
Keep all 3 fit and we’ll be potent up forward this season.

Ablett with draw a good defender on reputation alone and the two big boys should benefit

Good to see something for hawks fans

You can dig in to the loser for being shit and dig in to the winner for caring about the JLT. It's wins all round.

Slightly more seriously I think Geelong will benefit more than most from half backs not running into the square form the line. Conversely it could hurt the Bombers more than almost any other team.

Great to see Esava back and doing well too. He could really benefit from the Cats' strong clearance work and the 6/6/6 set-up. Dalhaus a very under rated addition also. Would be surprised if Geelong aren't one of the better teams this year.

Average is pretty harsh last year he really lead from the front when our form turned around with his hard running.

He's 28

Okay, so by rights he should be peaking as a footballer. Interesting year coming up for him. Or has he been crueled by injuries a bit?

Plus no 7th defender or half backs flooding the square means quick entry to one on ones.

Esava showed far more than i expected last year. Big hulk of a bloke and just 20.
Not sure 6-6-6 that great for cats given ee struggle to break even centre clearances and have an average ruck brigade

Am I reading the stats right, with 10 inside 50s for Dangerfield at half time? The all time record is 16 for a game, but I guess it has to be season proper to count, but that's an inside number to half time either way. Only 1 clanger and running at nearly 80% efficiency too , so probably not just random hacks into the forward 50.

Not sure why people are writing off Essendon's season... Both these games have been at odd stadiums. Ikon Park and Geelong's quagmire. I doubt they give half an ass about these games playing at places like this.

I suspect at The MCG and Marvel Stadium Essendon will be going hi octane and their energy levels will be completely different. They will be a good team this year. Top 8 at the minimum.
