Has Gibbs really been that disappointing though?

I said it before but he's playing decent football. Not winning matches off his own boot but surely his form warrants selection.

And I have been watching Adelaide games and following Gibbs. My thoughts aren't based on just looking at stats.
Were toxic down at Crowland mate.

Certainly a statement and a kick up the backside to a senior player which is good.

Feel that he is one we are comfortable doing it to because he's arrived relatively recently compared to our favourites. He hasn't achieved the deep-seated selection loyalty our other players have developed.

Feel we've made the right statement but with the wrong player. We are a worse team without him and are less likely to beat North Melbourne.

But... the statement may spark others into action. Here's hoping.

If we’re dropping Gibbs for being out of form (which I think is a great call) then why are we playing Tex, Eddie, Jenkins, Mackay who are all equally as putrid if not worse?

Poholke and CEY aren’t even AFL standard. Should he Greenwood and Gallucci in.

Ok, I didn't see that coming.

Of course I'd rather see Stengle get his shot, and Fogarty come into the 22, and a fit Greenwood and Gallucci ...

But Poholke has earned his spot, and CEY can do some heavy lifting that might cause a bit of a change in how we play.

Dropping Gibbs is a good thing, he will be back. Eddie might be next of he doesn't lift his output.

Agree that Mackay and Jenkins should be on the list too.

Also, unfortunately though omitting Gibbs and Seed being injured, bringing in CEY and Poholke, we look glacially slow and have lost two (supposedly) good ball users for two mediocre users.

Would be very surprised if this experiment lasts more than 1 week
I said this earlier however Myles and Cam are both covering more ground than Bryce.

Could also mean more of Rory in the f50 which isn't a bad thing.

It is interesting they’ve chosen a relative outsider to make the statement with.

Old mate continues on his merry way

This was my immediate thought.

Crows needed to drop a senior player to make a statement, but it couldn't be a senior player who had been here for any length of time.

Jenkins sparks up for no one. I repeat. No one.

Not if we are rewarding form they shouldn't, Poholke has been unbelievable.

It will be interesting to see how the club bashers take this.

I assume we'll have another thread about the trade, because they rarely have capacity to think anything else.
I didn’t expect it
However Gibbs was it to drop out
I want to see more of this

He hadn’t been that bad, certainly not the worst. But a statement needed to be made and he’s a soft target.

Our pet passengers will always get a pass

Yeah true, but if we are going by form then Dave squeaks in front of him.
