They quite possible may have, I'd have been disappointed with that too. Didn't like Pies fans booing Goodes or Sheed either.

Although, what about the 2018 GF? Lost by under a kick with possibly a missed free kick. Didn't boo The Eagles during their medal ceremony. This was a game where we were actually ahead most of the day, not behind for 100% of it.

Definitely not claiming that Collingwood fans are saints. No group of fans are and there is poor behavior in every match I've been to. Booing during medal ceremonies is fairly unusual though. On ANZAC day, given all it stands for, it's a bit beyond the pale for mine.

Fair comment - I think Buckley expressed his disappointment, I'm glad he called them out - no harm if it makes someone reflect on whether their booing was appropriate at that time.

I just watched the clip in full (opposed to getting sucked into the headline like a moron) and he read the moment perfectly.

Boo the umpires then, but not through a medal ceremony.
Not a good look. Admit to it, say it wasn't good and move on.
Worsfolds comments were a bit mealy mouthed and whitewashed the incident.
Didn't want to offend his supporters I suppose.
Wouldn't want this to set a precedent for future clashes.

He said in his press conference that if the roles were reversed he'd hope that he was strong enough to say something. He believes he would be.

I believe him tbh - it takes a fair bit to stand in the middle of that many people and call a large group of them shameful.

Oh no, of course not. Just that you have that photo of a player holding a medal he didn't deserve, I thought you might've changed the photo at some point after realising he didn't deserve it, since your stance is strong enough that it would've brought you down to a level that would see you boo.

Absolutely we deserved it.

Jumped out to a 33 point lead. Opposition couldn't put us away.

Umpires were poor. Win some, lose some. I tend to lay blame at what was in our control when we lose and not blaming something out of control like umpiring. Essendon's disposal was poor and thats why they couldn't put us away when dominating for large periods in the 2nd half.

Despite all the post game noise re booing and umpiring, I reckon this is the perfect summation

When it's your club's favorite son, it's not so hard. Actions in the future will show whether he's a hypocrite.

Those collingwood fans aren't very friendly to opposition players, supporters, etc. All good... Buckley will teach them!
