Mark Evans from the GCS makes the mistake of responding to a question with a truthful answer that it would take "extraordinary circumstances" for Ben King not to be at GCS next year and that translates on the internet to 1 + 1 = 547 (or Ben King to St Kilda)

He needs to learn from Ratten - ie - the straight bat - "Josh Bruce/Ben King is a contracted player"

The poster you are having a crack at normally has some pretty good info.

I doubt he's putting 1 and 1 together and getting 547

Gold Coast know King will likely be out the door next year. Is it too much to believe that they would have a crack at getting quality mature players through the door while his value is at its highest?

Whilst it's fairly likely nothing happens, I reckon I can guarantee you that the two clubs will have several discussions about him.

Your not wrong about Ratts , i have a super close connection to him but he sure doesn't give up much info i can tell you that so if anyone ever things that they are getting info from Ratts its most likely not coming from him

Not sure why people feel the need to carry on when posters want to share info they have. Especially when these posters have a good history.

Who remembers the carry last year when it was posted on here that Jack Steven asked for a trade? How did that turn out?

If you don't like it, scroll past, but we've lost so many posters of late that are willing to share info it's not funny.

The majority of us don't want to trade away Billings, I certainly don't want to.

It's more a case of the Suns enquiring about him which is exciting due to the fact that they are at least engaging with us about Ben.

Sorry Billings is a required player. Offer all you want Gold Coast, but that’s a no from me.

This is the line in the sand in the jack Steven saga, I’m not happy paying one dollar unless it’s for a fair return.

That's what I'm saying, for that it would really want to be worth our while but there of course was no mention of anything that would improve the deal for us. As long as 'we' get it done and pay up for the privelage.

I want us to get him, but if that's what it takes then play the patient game and get him next year.
