I actually have no problem with both Bruce and Steven leaving, but to say we may get nothing but a third round pick does not sit well with me at all. Do we over rate our players or we are missing something?

Pick in the 20's for both would suffice, especially with Geelong about to receive a gold mine for Kelly and Dogs should have more than enough, I would even take a second rounder next year.

If that's what they are worth fine, but then Sydney can take 57 for Zak Jones and Ryder can come in for pick 120.

Not overrating your players, just underrating how full of shit the average media personality is. There is close to 0 chance Bruce goes for anything less than a 2nd rounder, and even that is really ripping the Saints off. No idea how Barrett could have thought a 3rd rounder would be enough. Only explanation is he's a ****ing moron

Anyway, if you want some news. Ask yourself whether or Smith from the Hawks would be worthwhile on a 3 year deal.

Just for context, Adelaide are apparently letting Eddie go for nothing and paying half his salary. Not entirely analogous with Stuv I know but it's what happens when you get an uncertain / restricted future form line mixed with 'push' factors.

As an aside, if Suns are looking for mature bodies to help protect Rowell & Anderson in their first year, I would do Seb & next year's first for Bing and their second next year in a heartbeat.

At what stage does Steven make a sacrifice for his own mental heath?

Seems like we need to bend over backwards due to his mental health, perhaps he could tear up his contract and play at Geelong for less seen as he wants to be closer to family.

Not happy but may be prepared to take understand to get him to Geelong but no way we pay for the bloody privilege as well.

Not to mention that Jack himself should not want us screwed in the deal.
