“I did see a bit of that (rumours of a trade), but I don’t know where that’s come from.

Only want him if he grows his hair like Guthrie.Geelong will be going "all in" next year when Jeremy Cameron hits the market. It's been the plan for 2 years and nothing has changed. Country Victorian bloke and has told his manager he'll consider a move home once he honored current contract at the Giants. He's a Dartmoor boy - South West Vic and you'd think Geelong would back themselves in if he was to decide to come home. The obvious Hawkins replacement

And they play him on a wing. Reckon that might work. (Joke that won’t age for a while).

There is a real possibility that we have another big fish lined up and that is why the cap is tight or Wells is possibly keeping a spare 800k-1m free in case Gaff decides he wants to come to us, I still wouldn't be surprised if we got Jenkins in the last hour of the trade period for peanuts if nobody wants him.

D Stephens, J Sharp, F Maginness looking like they have excellent takeoff speed and endurance... Probably J Sharp is the one we can obtain with our picks.

That's fine by me but don't try to say l don't research or give reasons why l think we need a particular player.
I've seen enough of Geelong to say where l believe they're lacking.
Why do you mention Mitch G.
Back pedaling because nobody wanted him

That's fine by me but maybe it would be a reasonable idea not to make really strong definitive calls on players you've never seen live. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and all opinions can be valid but I just think it's a bit rich to make statements which seem to suggest you are the ultimate arbiter when you haven't seen people play. Even I don't do that and I have seen these players a lot.
To give you an example Will G almost never players in the midfield and hasn't shown anywhere near the tank to do so despite people trying to play him there. Furthermore I have never seen him play FF ever. He may have but it is so rare and irrelevant that using it to make a definitive point about why we would pick him is a little disingenuous I think. Hopefully you understand what I am saying. I am certainly not trying to have a go at you or down grade anyone's opinions. Im just simply pointing out that I think people need to be a little more flexible and avoid using definitive statements about players they like and don't like, if they are just looking at stats and reading other people's opinions.
Mitch Grigg I mentioned because on paper he looked unbelievable last year. Kicked 6 goals from Centre in a losing Grand Final side. The point being that if you haven't seen him play you could look at statistical feats like that and give them unwarranted weight. Finally regarding Sokol I haven't seen anywhere near enough of him to make an accurate assessment. However, it's clear there is a reason he has been overlooked for 5 years. Sure clubs get it wrong but for every TK there are many more fails and if all 18 clubs are regularly overlooking a player they must have some obvious deficiencies.
He might not be quite quick enough or too laconic or a myriad of things. What I can tell you from watching a heap of Taheny is he is without question one of the most talented players in the draft and could be anything if he wants to be. I have some strong questions about his ability to deal with injury or setbacks but he has been injured for most of the year so I give him a little bit of a pass. He is incredibly explosive with a truly elite kick. I'm not convinced about the mental side of his game but his is super dooper talented.
You think?
...rates up there with "Why did the chicken cross the road"....
Maybe I'm just grumpy from dealing with WCE numpties...

I shouldn't admit this but I sometimes still say when in an elevator.....My humour hasn’t really evolved since “On the Buses” and “Are you being served” so won’t age for a while for me anyway David.

"Going up....Ladies underwear"...
John Inman...the Bob Downe of British comedy....not sure how they'd go in these days of PC...
