British researchers have published a terrifying new map predicting the global spread of the deadly coronavirus over the next three months.

The gobsmacking graphic is based on the mobile phone and flight data of 60,000 of an estimated five million Wuhan residents who fled during the critical two weeks before the outbreak city was placed under lockdown.

The study, by researchers from Southampton University’s World Pop Project research group, used map location data from Chinese tech giant Baidu and international flight itineraries to make a predictive global risk map for the likely spread of the virus from Wuhan.

It revealed an estimated 59,912 air passengers — including 834 infected with 2019-nCoV — flew from Wuhan to no less than 382 cities outside of mainland China in the days leading up to January 23, when the city was placed in quarantine.

Vale Earth
Will you look at the cross seeding between us and china.
Looking at it, eskimos, northern Russians and northern Icelanders and Australian aboriginals have the highest chance of surviving.

Put my magnifying glass on the sulphur plume.
Yikes, sulphur seen from space from the burning of organic waste.
It's one way to kill it.
What if the Chinese government is burning all the identified HK protesters and they just want you to think it's coronavirus deaths?

Something is getting burned big time. Whether it's human or animal, whether it's the virus or a cover to source out people opposing the communist govt, who knows. There's not as much information coming out anymore. It's a sad situation whichever way you cut it.

Those are the kind of videos that were all over if you were looking. It's hard to decide how authentic they are. Historically we know china goes hard on it's people.

Maybe don't post them??? Maybe there are curious kids about. What you don't know doesn't hurt you as they say...

Not sure what you mean by this post

You really fell for that s**t.

For how Many thousands of years did cultures. Not have this ability at hygene, hung meat up, ate bat's snakes lizards termites and nothing like this happened?
I bet it's happened lot's, it just never spread and we didn't hear about it.
Now we have air travel to spread illness quickly and all over the globe, we also have media to report it. PRC has only opened up in the last 30 years or so to general travel.

It's not as fatal as SARS, a sister Corona virus but it does seem to kill you in similar ways, either a viral pneumonia or multiorgan failure in the context of a 'cytokine storm' (activation of inflammatory mediators causing organ damage) This is also similar to the process that H1N1 killed people. Interestingly there is a report of plasmapheresis (method of cleansing the blood) being used as a successful treatment in a critically ill patient.

The real problem is the 'wet markets' in China where wild animals that are being prepared for dinner and humans mix together. Often the transmission to humans involves an intermediate host and the wet markets provide the ideal environment for virus to jump species and mutate.

We have had 2 major viral outbreaks from his source in the last 20 years. PRC need to get their act together and ban the practice completely, it's incredibly dangerous. If they did it would be good for the Pangolins et al, as pointed out by an earlier poster.

Holy moly, renaming the virus to avoid not harming the reputation of China.

Doesn't matter from what country of origin the virus sprang from....The point is that it's deadly to all humans.

Viruses don't give a s**t what nationality or race you are.

The Murdoche press in it's double-standards towards the Chinese however, does amuse me no ends.

Just for interest a guy from work just got back from a conference in Singapore.

Everyone got temperatured check with hand held thermometers at the door as well as there being camera's setup auto scanning.

A couple of people would talk to each of the attendees taking a name and checking ID's and asking about travel and accommodation ect. Then there were a heap of people on laptops doing something which he obviously couldn't see who would give the okay after a few minutes to the attendent.

After that you did the normal tight security and conference registration you get in Singapore.

Talked to friends in hefei . One girl back at work on Monday but no customers because factories still closed down . She’s in motor parts . Another mate who works in a bank still not back . He told me he had to get written authority to go to shops and only twice per day. Food is mainly delivered but you can go on the street. With a note .

Household supplies must be getting fairly low. Also I imagine the shops are not that well stocked?

Death toll will max Out at around 2 thousand. Less than what the flu kills every year in new York.
You reckon? We're already at 1.5k and the death rate isn't really slowing down. And that's if you even believe the official numbers out of China, which you shouldn't.

The flu has a death rate of 0.1% and we have vaccines for it. Coronavirus is at least 20 times more deadly. Just because the flu kills more people overall doesn't make the coronavirus killing thousands of people and spreading worldwide any less worrying.

The one positive with regards the current numbers, so for as prognoses goes, is that the recovery rate continues to outdo the death one....So what was looking like a 3:1 mortality rate via infection has now almost doubled out to 6:1

Major scary bit is the level of containment and its still spreading .
If it spreads other countries arent going to be able to put the curfew clamps on like China can
