Uninspiring, cowardly, arrogant changes.

He's back! But he never really went away.

Lienert isn't much harder at the ball/man than Bonner and is probably on terms in defensive nous. Rockliff just takes us back to the same issues with too much of the same going through the middle (not to mention his complete lack of anything resembling pace).

Ken loves to talk a tough game yet pikes out every single time a hard call is required.

Us as a team is exactly the same as Ken as a coach.

IMO they didnt select hayes or buzza to replace marshall because todd plays so high up the ground at times; hayes definently wouldnt have the tank for that and buzza is more traditional goal square full forward. Westhoff has the tank but not the form.

Lienert should have always been the one to replace McKenzie he is more like for like than Bonner. We saw the likes of gresham and jones stroll out of the centre last week, not sure how it will go with wines and rock vs the explosive oliver petracca

Gawn would still be embarrassed by the way Lycett pulled his pants down last season and I expect he will go 100 mph from the first bounce down, so let's hope Ladhams and who ever his back up will be are up for it.

I hate to be that guy*, but Marshall didn't obviously break his thumb. Most of us didn't know about it until Monday.

*Actually sometimes I like being that guy :p

BALL-MAGNET Tom Rockliff is set to return for Port Adelaide after being omitted three weeks ago.

Power coach Ken Hinkley will make two changes ahead of Thursday's clash against Melbourne, with Jarrod Lienert to also come into the side.

It seemed clear he was ****ed on the night though, he grabbed it pretty sharpish.

Cowardly coach shock. Just playing for his one year trigger. Gives zero fu**s about development.
Funny enough, it has backfired every single time. He has played for the trigger the previous two seasons. He did exactly what he is doing. What was the result?

There have been good surprises — a few, every now and then. Overall, however, it hasn't worked.

We haven't played a final since 2017, and had no final win since 2014. Our finals record is 0-1 from 2015-2019, isn't it?

This is rather crude analysis and the sample isn't large enough, but since the start of 2018:
  • In the 31 games that both Rockliff and Wines played, we've won 18 and lost 13. In these games, Rockliff averages 4.19 clearances (4.58 in wins and 3.65 in losses) and Wines averages 5.66 clearances (6 in wins and 5.19 in losses)
  • In the 10 games that only Rockliff played, we've won 6 and lost 4. In these games, Rockliff averages 7.23 clearances (6.88 in wins and 7.75 in losses)
  • In the 9 games that only Wines played, we've won 4 and lost 5. In these games, Wines averages 4.92 clearances (5 in wins and 4.85 in losses)
  • In the 2 games that neither Rockliff or Wines played, we've won 1 and lost 1—we were -1 in clearances in the win and -8 in clearances in the loss.
In summary, what can we take away from this? F*cked if I know.
