Scattegories was another board game where there was really absolutely no need to purchase it. As long as you got pen, paper, and a brain to come up with the categories.. that was pretty much it.

Could even do a scattegories game thread on BF. Would be fun

Gauntlet, Galaga, Gyruss, Rally-X.
Still give them the odd run on MAME. "Wizard shot the food! Wizard needs food badly!"

In addition to Shell's games room, I'd add a replica upright cabinet containing a cheap PC running MAME and a full stock of ROMs.

On pinball - I remember one I liked way back in the day - I think it was called Stingray???
One I do remember from much later was 8 Ball Deluxe. They had one at the Airman's Club on a base I was stationed to, so it got a fair workout. It was one of those machines that would "talk" to you periodically.
"Stop talkin' and start chalkin'" was one of it's favourites, and sounded vaguely sexual.
One other line it would yell out when you triggered multiball was "MULTI BALL AWAAAAAAAY!"
The AFL should use that when they introduce multiball to ease congestion.
