That’s not my view at all. Many Carlton supporters have brought rational and insightful commentary to this thread.

I still don’t understand the chain of events for the coach.

- sayers wants Ross and meets with him essentially promising him the job
- they then sack Teague
- sayers sacks or gets half the board to resign as they are not aligned
- the board then tells sayers that they don’t agree with Ross and want to run a process (then why did he push out the others?)
- sayers then presumably continues cleaning house, brings in diesel and has now sacked the ceo - but hasn’t he lost control of the board ?

After knowing for so long, the coaching search committee hasn’t even finalised its members or it’s process….
That isn’t a great situation to be in.

its pretty obvious the plan was to hire Ross. That is why the process was never setup as it was unnecessary. Then obviously the board got spooked and pulled the plug on Ross so they had to hastily cobble together the process (and thus included people who were going to get canned). Amateur hour, classic mistakes causing more mistakes.

I would think the coaches input on who to recruit, who to retain and who they need as support; should be in place prior to the trade period…. This isn’t going to happen.
