Do we know anything about next years’ draft? Talk of trading into this one with next year’s hampers our prospects then.

next years draft has a top end of Ashcroft, Wardlaw, D'Aloia and Tsatas (4 top end mids), then you have Lemmey 198cm KPF who is playing good footy in the SANFL as an underager, then you have Keeler who is a Paddy Ryder clone from SA (KPF/Ruck), but maybe doesnt have the application he needs to, theres about 5 rucks who should go in the top 40 or so, Hewett and Bevan look like tough mids out of WA, Gilbey is an exciting rebound def, Kobe Ryan looks like a decent accumulator, Busslinger is a tall def(height of a KPD but plays like a medium def), Hollands brother of Elijah looks good, Clark is a tough mid from Vic C, Drury is a skillful little player in the mold of Bowey, Schuback and Michael are tough half backs, Magor is a classy mid from SA, Sheezel is a skillful small forward, Northam and Jefferson are good KPF's from Vic, Windsor is a solid mid, Hagan is a good mid for WA, Williams is a good winger from WA aligned with Frem NGA, Condon was a Luke Jackson clone, absolutely dominant, but chose Basketball over Footy...

there are others, but it might go on for too long

Bunch of kids who haven’t played footy for two years. Get the WA, Tassie and SA boys in I say unless there is a long term development Vicco kid but not worth blowing a first rounder on that unless the upside is stupidly good.

Another idea could be to target a homesick Vic gun in SA and WA and offer a first…?

Alot of " what we need chatter" on the board and I do understand the excitement but what we really need is to have faith in McKenzie and back his judgement.
There is so much that goes into scouting and profiling players even late last night clubs are still working on references and family dynamics of players due to the lack of exposure it is far from a normal year

We liked Knevitt leading in. He would compliment Ward and our other mids superbly. Geelong will also be very keen.

Won't be surprised if we read out his name first if Johnson is gone like we assume.

Assuming MJ is gone, any pairing of Sonsie,Butler,Knevitt,Draper,Goater,Taylor will be a win for us.
Would love to grab Dittmar,Banks or Beecken with the next picks.

If Freo are anti Johnson management will that mean they’d pass on him?

Sonsie has higher upside, better skills and a more versatile player. Knevitt is like Cripps but a touch faster and with slightly worse kicking, a tall mid who has clean hands in a pack. Knevitt is more of what we have, Sonsie has the potential to be a star we need.
