I never understood a team winning the flag then next season they change the minor detail to their jumper. Eg western bulldogs 2017 (red collar)

Merchandise sales.
Clubs sell more jumpers when there's a change to the jumper.

The Bulldogs switched from BLK to Asics immediately after winning the flag. There was going to be a change regardless of the flag and I assume the switch and design (AFL premiers logo aside) was locked in well before the grand final occured.

How are puma polos crap in your opinion? Genuine question.
All the afl puma polos I've seen are very bog standarded and plain. It just always looks like they could just plop on any team logo and say there you go. I'm talking about this current era of puma polos, and only the afl ones. I'd like some personalisation from team to team and the use of the teams primary colours.

This video shows some more confirmations with the giants guernseys. Same Home, Clash now has a slightly bigger G, and the Never surrender has a bigger G. But Harvey Norman is still featuring on the back of the guernseys, though I can't tell if it's sublimated or heat pressed.

Good changes increasing the G size on both of those, I don't like the puma shorts as much as the previous supplier though. The Harvey Norman is permanent, I saw it somewhere else it didn't look like a stick on to me.

The Harvey Norman logo shouldn't be stitched on.

Sometimes bog standard is a good thing e.g. the Lions one just looks awkward

Yeh clean and neat is all i want from a polo. Give me one standard color and a few logos. The more you do to it the more its gonna look like one of those god awful fishing shirts.

I can’t speak for AFL but I own some Red Bull F1 polos and they’re horrendous. Poorly made, cheap materials, everything is ironed on and really bad sizing. Ferrari’s Puma gear is even worse. Atrocious brand in F1.

I believe they changed manufacturers to Asics going into that year so wouldn't consider it much of a change, just simply a template change. I guess they could've just gone with the blue under collar.

Fair, I always thought the Richmond puma polos were good. Different pattern each year and very good quality (stitched logos).
