And now some good news

This is when all those complaining about the unfairness of all those Sydney concessions (like the 25% higher house prices and the tiny local talent pool) put their hand out and take the cash.

Here';s the club statement on covid. Just an apology, no explanation.

Pies fans thinking we should have points deducted. Well thats come back to bite them on the backside.

Well those denture challenged a.se wipes from Collingwood can go and get f..ked!! (I’ve not had a good day, this bs just topped it off)

Oof. Someone somewhere is probably in a fair bit of trouble.

This. And I feel like Horse has been one of the most vocal about cuts to the soft cap and doing the same amount of work with a lot less resource. He’d be pretty pissed.
It seems our $100k fine has $50k suspended. So that sure helps.

Here’s an interesting bit of rewriting history in The Age:

“Goodes, one of the most decorated players in the game, had been booed by opposing fans who claimed he was staging for free kicks. The booing became more intense and ferocious after Goodes called out a 13-year-old girl in the crowd who had racially abused during a match against Collingwood in 2013.”

I’m sure like almost all high profile players he got booed at some point for perceived unsportsmanlike conduct (hell, even Kennedy got booed this year).

To try to suggest the booing was systemic before race came into it is disgraceful. And to draw parallels between Ginniven and Goodes is just as disgraceful.

The systemic booing of Goodes started after he called our racism. Full stop. The abuse was ongoing and every time he touched the ball, regardless of what happened on the field on that day.

The systemic booing of Ginniven hasn’t even commenced - as far as I understand it he has only been booed after committing unsportsmanlike acts, which is certainly the case from last weekend. It just so happens that he does these things every game and people don’t want that s*** in our game, so they call it out. If Ginniven wants the booing to stop, it is 100% in his control - stop being a cheat.

Just realised the article was written by Malcom f*** Conn as well. He wrote straight after the game that the crowds biggest contribution was booing Ginniven - you know, not sending off a Kennedy at half time, not creating a spectacular atmosphere that commentators described as deafening, not creating a sea of red and white?

GAGF Conn the con.

His article the other day was a disgrace and this one was no better. Should stick to writing about Cricket (which he is very good at) - a very superficial take to say the least, and large chunks of it just wrong.

18AUG22: Swans Daily Media/Multiple
Tom Hickey Interview

And dammit - they've actually got other interviews with Swan players during the year that I missed. New follow on twitter it seems. Sigh.
