5+23 for 8 and Rankine values him at 11-12.I'd say a split of pick 5 is on the cards now, which won't get done quickly because it will take another club to get a meaningful 2nd first rounder to give us. 12-15 plus some messing around should get Rankine to us. A single digit pick is too high.

If Ben King requested a trade to St Kilda to be with his brother ......the SAINTS would be applauded for a successful trade coupeI like how everyone else picking over gc is okay but now it's not.
be aggressive, get it done early and then do stuff to get back into the draft
Don't mind it.5+23 for 8 and Rankine values him at 11-12.
Unfortunately I agree with your summation. There will be pressure behind the scenes. I hate to think that Rankine will cost two first rounders. How we do that will depend on how we exchange draft picks. Like swapping our pick 5 with Richmond's two first rounders ( I think that 12 & 19) then offer our 2023 1st and Richmonds pick 19. We keep pick 12.GWS had no cap space, it's why they shed players every off season. Norf was in disarray but different this year with Clarko driving the club. Dodoro would be licking his lips.
You offer $4 mill over 5 years, you expect to pay at the trade table. Carlton for example target players with big contracts and are prepared to offer up high picks in good faith
AFL won't let it get done for unders, GC is their club, they are propping them up to make them successful, they won't cop us trying to low ball GC. AFL can control everything behind the scenes. They have the PP situation over Norf who will do their bidding if told. If we tried to pull the PSD threat in negotiations, you can guarantee years of s**t draws and s**t timeslots from the AFL, a sinister organisation who hold grudges and we aren't part of their boys club.
We've attracted Rankine, it's now on us to get the deal done quickly in good faith.
Yeah that was weird. They said it like it was already a done deal.During the showdown the commentators mentioned Rowe could be playing his last game for us. I’m guessing the club has too many small forwards now? I was unaware of all this you see.
Sorry. Values him at 14. My original calculation was with 4. and 225+23 for 8 and Rankine values him at 11-12.
Just curious, why do we want to get back into the draft?I like how everyone else picking over gc is okay but now it's not.

Yep. If it were Sydney or Carlton I would love sticking the knife in. But GC and us have no history of ****ing each other over (they've got nobody but themselves to blame for Atkins, that was a free agency move which is entirely on them). I'm happy for Reid to drive a hard bargain and get the best deal we can at the trade table, but I wouldn't be hanging sh*t on GC as a club or its supporters. As you say, we've been in their position too many times ourselves.
14 is fair. I would prefer us to get a player involved who is on contract such as Milera if we can. If he gets superfit and loses some weight he may be useful for GC.Sorry. Values him at 14. My original calculation was with 4. and 22
Ranking points only serves a purpose for father / son, NGA, and Academy calculationsSorry. Values him at 14. My original calculation was with 4. and 22
Don't forget they poached Bock from us for $600k per season 12 years ago...GC have no history of effing us over?
Sorry but when we traded them Jarryd Lyon, they had 3 picks in the 20s but gave us pick 43. The real annoying part of that was they then left that draft after using pick 10. We ended up taking Himmelberg with the Lyon pick, if they had given us that pick in the 20s they had no intention of using we could have got Shai Bolton...Brandon Parfitt, Lapinski, Sean Darcy (even though he is a fatty), Tom Stewart or Brennan Cox.
So yeah, it was a while ago sure but I can't think of one trade where they have been anything but Dodoro like with us, so yeah, I'd love us to pineapple the buggers
No, of course it's only indicative.Ranking points only serves a purpose for father / son, NGA, and Academy calculations
We could get Rankine thru the PSD ....don't think Rankine or the Club wants that though, however as we know, the buyer holds the negotiation chips, and the PSD has to come into play .....otherwise, GC could ask for 3 x 1st round picks
2023 1st pickNo way we keep pick 5, it's not getting split and we're not getting 8 back either. 5 will be the corner piece of this trade.
Rankine and Rachele playing the mid/SF role is a great prospect.Just fantastic news .....I've been a massive supporter since his U18 days .....what Rankine could do in our midfield is unbelievable to imagine .....just get him super fit Burgo
Being at a ghost club & out of the spotlight, many forget what this kid can do .....with the home crowds, Rankine will be our new Betts / Jarman
dont they have multiple highly rated academy players? I dont think they're looking for a first rounder next year2023 1st pick
GC have to reduce their list size this year, back to the other AFL Clubs size restrictions ....just my opinion, 2023 would hold more interest to GC
So we must have got really screwed over on the contracted Charlie Cameron trade at pick 12 who is a better player btw.No way we keep pick 5, it's not getting split and we're not getting 8 back either. 5 will be the corner piece of this trade.
It would be awesome for Izak to turn into a Bolton-like player for us. Maybe aiming a bit high, but 16 touches a game and 35-40 goals a season would please me very muchRankine and Rachele playing the mid/SF role is a great prospect.
Bolton is carrying Richmond this year.
