Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Catch ya 5th PICK, draft this year will be less entertaining
You trying to convince yourself? Rankine is worth more than pick 3, everyone outside this thread knows that.
We're just too darn successful, that's our problemThey don't usually hand them out to 8 win teams
McAsey and a second round pick sounds right then. You trying to convince yourself? Rankine is worth more than pick 3, everyone outside this thread knows that.

I've been saying Perryman or Cumming would be right up this kind of alleyThis is the sort of trade we should be looking at....
(From 2019) MELBOURNE has added some much-needed outside run by securing wingman Ed Langdon from Fremantle. The Demons handed over picks No. 22, 79 and a future second-round selection for the 23-year-old, while the Dockers gave up Langdon, pick No. 26 and a future fourth-round selection
They basically got a future AA for an early 2nd rounder.
We need to be targeting 21-24 year olds like Melb did with this trade. Of course it helps if a player wants to 'come home'.
CC was also contracted, didn’t have an injury history, and was a proven finals performer.I'm not going to argue with you as I don't know
But someone pointed out the value of C Cameron at pick 12

I mean that's pretty damn close for output and Charlie was contracted

CC was also contracted, hadn’t done an ACL, and was a proven finals performer.
When did Rankine do an ACL?CC was also contracted, hadn’t done an ACL, and was a proven finals performer.
Just need a midfield that can hit a foot pass. Can we just take a moment to reflect on how exciting our round 1 FWD line will potentially look next year.
McAdam Walker Rankine
Rachele Fogarty Thilthorpe
Take my damn money.... I'm certainly buying that ticket all day long!
Great news, our forward line from 2023 onwards is going to be seriously entertaining. I feel as though Rankine will take his game to the next level playing in front of a packed Adelaide Oval every week instead of a half empty Metricon Stadium.
Now we just need to get the deal done without involving our pick 5 - 2023 first plus some sweeteners should hopefully get the deal done. Draft Tsatas or Phillipou this year and adding Rankine and that will be massive improvement to our list.
Everyone knew Dangerfield was worth two firsts, but you don't always get fair value for players wanting to "go home" who are out of contractYou trying to convince yourself? Rankine is worth more than pick 3, everyone outside this thread knows that.
So use midfielders like Soligo, Taylor and Pedlar.Just need a midfield that can hit a foot pass.
My bad, I knew he had missed all of 2019 and thought it was an ACL for some reason. When did Rankine do an ACL?
Not sure Pedlar should be in that list.So use midfielders like Soligo, Taylor and Pedlar.
Who is our fwd coach? That should seriously be hard for teams to mtachup.... then include macadam as 3rd tall..... that is a good setup!I think with Fog, TT, Rankine and Rachelle that we have arguably the best group of young forwards in the league
I just can't see us not giving up Pick 5 to get the deal done.
Kicked very well over the weekend so the talent is there, think it's more to do with his lack of fitness he gets a bad rep.Not sure Pedlar should be in that list.
I like him, but elite kicking is definitely not a feature of his game. Soligo and Taylor yes.Kicked very well over the weekend so the talent is there, think it's more to do with his lack of fitness he gets a bad rep.
Worth more than Dangerfield? Cameron? Cerra? You trying to convince yourself? Rankine is worth more than pick 3, everyone outside this thread knows that.
Dont you know? We get the Crows tax.
Rankine's move to the Crows would give coach Matthew Nicksa potent forward line including Josh Rachele, Wayne MileraPLAYERCARDSTARTMatthew Nicks

That was our own doing, though. Lyons was out of contract and we basically pushed him out the door with a lowball contract offer. By doing so (not to mention playing him as the sub pretty much every week) we devalued our own player - why would they pay more for an uncontracted player that we clearly couldn't be much more eager to get rid of? We shot ourselves in the foot with both barrels on that one. Similar to the Keath and Greenwood trades - when you've made it obvious that you don't want to keep the player, you do not give yourself a strong bargaining position.I'm still pissed at Gold Coast over the Jarryd Lyons deal and want to take them to the cleaners here to make up for it
