Probably going to get banned for this opinion on here but i think Stewart is the best, however games missed means he should have absolutely missed for Sic.

Sic does the same as Stewart in attack but actually picks up a man, if Stewart had to play on a kpf every week like sic has he would get destroyed

In that AA back 6, May and Taylor are genuinely KPDs, Stewart is the third tall / interceptor, Sinclair is the small mop up / accumulator, Saad is the line breaker and Maynard the physical stay at home medium defender.

Blicavs is the utility who plays off the bench and can go back/mid/fwd.

Sicily isn’t a genuine KPD in a stronger side than Hawthorn. We have played him a fair bit there because our KPDs are young/injured. He is competing with Stewart in the AA squad for that third tall intercept spot and Stewart is the master of it in a team which has dominated in 2022.

He can be a gun and not be AA. I still think Dawson, Sicily, Docherty all had better years then Maynard. I also wouldn't have had Stewart in the team either - but that was never going to be the case

A dominant side that hasn't needed Stewart for at least a quarter of the games.

They also do not pick sides under the criteria you are supplying. Hawkins is the captain of this side that contains 3 club captains. The Coleman medallist is not picked at FF. Touk Miller is not a wingman.

Stewarts didn't play 4 games, and went off early in another 2.

If you can honestly tell me that his season was better than Sicily's then you're also telling me that the AFLCA have no clue about who the best players are in the game, because he was the clear best placed defender in the coaches votes.

It's a terrible decision to not have him in there. Rivalling when Gibbo couldn't get a spot, but went on to win the PCM in a premiership year.
