we would not have used the points anyway
in essence, we traded to mid-30 picks for pick 25 which is not to bad for a reason.

He’s certainly better at red ball cricket but still a long shot to play test cricket.

Got to say I'm really surprised by our moves today, first off I really didn't think GWS would be after another first round pick this year.
18 feels slight overs with nothing coming back, anyway welcome to the club Bruhn, for a bloke who looked so sad on draft night you have shown more heart than JHF by seeing out your contract.
Then the pick swap, like others I'm not sure why our F2 had to be part of that trade, I thought Brisbane needed the points more than we needed to move down the order? Was there a bit of a bidding war going for that pick 25 that made us cough up so much?

There is no way we should be trading F1 for Henry, last resort would have to be F1 for Bowes 7 and GC F2.

I do actually feel sorry for Pies fans because we went through the exact same thing with Clark last year, we all wanted Clark to be worth a late first but in the end all we could get was 22 and a F3 while giving a F4 back, we couldn't pry that pick 19 off Freo's cold dead hands. Similar situations, 2 players who couldn't cement their spot in the best 22 but the difference was Clark was still contracted.

Yeah I saw that, I’ve been following to see if that’s something that might happen. I still think it’s going to be tough for him as a cricketer but I don’t think he’ll make the switch now.
Good start to the shield season and a renegade contract.

Nice; saw that he got his maiden ton - didn't know he'd turned it on with the ball as well.

Today was my first time listening to Trade Radio (at least this trade period) and when I first heard them link us to Hamling it wasn’t from someone calling in or from reading out a tweet

Apparently some mention of it yesterday - so no idea if that was someone calling up, but from the way they mentioned it this morning (or at least how it sounded to me), there’s more than a couple of voices in the background speculating on that scenario

I dont know what all the other clubs parts are but im hoping we give up sav and a future 3rd (and 58 if needed) and gc get a future 2nd (probably from port or brisbane) which gives us bowes and 7 and keeps our future 1st.
