I broke both my wrists when I was 13
I broke both my wrists at the same time when I was 11, the day before Ash Wednesday. I was back doing my paper round about 2 weeks later. The best part of it all was my parents bought me a typewriter.

I hate it when they replay broken limbs when they happen in the UFC, I mean I"m ok with guys and girls beating the * out of each other but broken arms/legs are disgusting!
Yup. I've seen the leg snaps of Weidman and Silva once as it happened live. Never seen a replay and never will.

I was in the arena for the Silva one, had no idea what happened, watched the replay on the big screen and gasped as everyone else did, try to avoid it as much as I can.

The Weidman one was even more brutal, geez

I broke my leg ice skating in a P.E. class in Year 10. Aside from the embarrassment of THAT being the reason I broke it, it was literally the week before the footy season began. Ruled me out for the entire season :(

I had an ice skating accident when I was about 15. Someone skated across my path and I went flat on the back of my head and needed quite a few stitches. Now I have a shaved head you can still see a big scar.

Not exactly a beginners sport unfortunately. Doesn't exactly give you too many cool points either at age 15 by suffering an injury while ice skating, compared to a broken leg in footy.

I tried ice skating once. Was a very frustrating couple of hours.
The old staggering around, clinging to the rail, watching others sail past gracefully. People of all ages, elderly couples, toddlers. But not me 🤣

When I Was a kid in the 80s I just went rollerskating, never ice.
A group of us went rollerskating at a rink. It was very crowded and one of our friends got knocked or tripped, went down and someone’s skate broke one of his ribs 🙁

Ouch.

I have very fond memories of the local rollerskating rink. Hanging out with my cousins, one of them ended up working there.

The occasional youth group outing there too :$:tearsofjoy:

oh yeah, me too. In the brown hire skates.
Nothing says rookie like those 80's brown hire skates.
Dragging yourself around the outside clinging to the bar, also, speaks loudly :)

I must be the one perverse sort here who likes watching replays of injuries.

Sure.
Howe's arm break was a stinker but I wanted replay after replay. (Lucky it was captured by someone and I saved it.
Idk if I like replays of injuries per say.. but when the medical or Vet shows blur out or just dont show the operation they're doing, it really shits me.

It's fascinating to me.
