the thing Kosi will bring next year is forward line structure. how many times did we have miller or Pickett etc with the forward role of spoiling the opposition marking only. the defender will have to actually defend vs Kosi as opposed to just doubling teaming jack this year or Lynch next year. doesn't need to be a star just play a role and provide a forward marking option and we will be a better team than last year.

Think he plays VFL more than AFL, doesn’t appear to have the talent, work rate etc. to make a name for himself at the level

Great for structure no doubt and yes he is not a gun forward but will be a good support act for our ageing gun and potential gun coming via free agency or trade next year.

Appreciate the post mate. When he had off games, was he out marked and just severely beaten, or did he atleast bring the ball to ground in marking contests?

We played all year with pretty much half of that in regard to talls, so if he improved even slightly it will be a big upgrade on our forward line this year. Jack (barely pass), Miller (fail), Ryan (fail), Soldo (fail), Bauer (?)

Worst case scenario he’s a solid back up that can kick goals at AFL level when he is required to play.

Best case scenario, he improves (still only 23) and becomes a key target in our forward line next to Lynch.

Whatever happens, I love this trade.
