Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Based on my 10 minutes of research, I'd be happy with George Stevens, Mitch Edwards or Lance Collard with our second pick.

All fill needs, and look like they have upside that could pay off.

Really starting to lilke the look of Stevens the more i read about him.
Stevens speed is the big concern with him. He’s played good footy all year but his lack of athleticism could be exposed at AFL level.

Duursma ahead of McKercher???
Caddy ahead of Read?
Murphy at 20, wow.

Interesting changes.
Murphy would be a good get that low down.
I think Caddy could be down to the fact he’s still been growing this year? KPF are always sort after as we all know.
You would think there would be interest from Nth, Hawks, Dees and Cats, all need to improve there stocks in that position.

If last years draftees(for just ours) were in this year's draft pool where would they be sitting?

If we landed Reid and then Murphy, we've won the draft. Addressed two absolute needs with high calibre talent.

Caddy is a tease, could be a great talent but just hasn't done enough for me to use a pick on him. But you're right, all those teams would have interest in him.

Who is your ideal get at our second? I'd love Murphy but just don't think he'll be there.

Stevens reminds me of Hurn.

I can’t possibly see how Murphy gets past Roos 3 late first round picks unfortunately. If they trade up and Murphy somehow slides then absolutely. Cal must have some mail for that big of a slide. Maybe clubs a little put off my his frame.

People have got to stop posting trades involving 2 and 3. It's just not happening. Even more so when you're adding in another 1st rounder as well.

La, la land. Not happening.
Then it doesnt get traded.

Rohan set the price when he knocked back
Hawks offer of 4 F1 (likely about 4 again) and Brockman (who we paid 44 63 = 37 on points)

So 2 pick inside 5 and a late second rounder didn't get it done.

Size of him stood out like a sore thumb in WA vs VicC. Absolute unit with body ready to play R1. He is a bit sluggish but works hard.

You could say it was refused because at pick 4, there's a good chance McKercher or Curtin wouldn't be there.

Any offer would pretty much have to include 2 and then move on from there.
For me, it's 2 and 3 or no deal.

Barrett and Co keep banging on about "drafting more high end talent", but in this draft, are picks ins the early 20's considered high end?

I think to get Murphy we would need a pick in the teens which would require a split of pick one or our F1.

Our Current pick 23 will more than likely be around pick 30 on Draft night which is a joke seeing it’s our second round pick and we finished last. With pick 28-30 I’d be pretty big on some of the WA boys such as Collard and Zz. Edwards and Goad could be really good gets if the club feels it’s not going hard after English. They both have the attributes to be good Afl rucks.

I think Hall and Sanchez will be there with our next pick around pick 40 and I think the likes of the SA boys in Patton and Delean (who aren’t being spoken about much) would be good value around that pick too.

If we were to take a 4th pick that’s obviously currently really late in the draft I quite like Hine-Baston or Bodie Ryan as small defenders. O’Driscoll or Riley Wills as midfield options. Maybe Hall gets that deep but I doubt it. Riley Weatherill as a KPF doubt he’s still available.

Edit: the other one no one is talking about is McCormack because he’s GWS academy but I really like him and would force a bid on him. I think he has the potential to be a better KPF than Cadman which is a big call but time will tell. He a project as he needs time to develop but some of the things he did this year made me think wow how good is this kid going to be when he’s 25 and has a man’s frame.

That was knocked back because it didn't get the Eagles McKercher and that's who they are only currently prepared to give up Reid for.
That's the key in all of this, if it's pick two involved which means Eagles can take a certain player the additions will be a couple of extra picks late in the first.

Disagree, if the Hawks offer 2, F1 and Brockman then we would of done the deal imo

Imo, NM will end up offering 2, F1 and 17

We could then split that F1 with the Crows for 10, 14 and F1

Hit this draft with 2, 10, 14, 17. Maybe package up 23* ans 37* for Collard (not sure who)

But McKercher, Windsor, Murphy, Hardemen and Collard is a pretty good dam draft.

Currently looking at Reid, Stevens, Hall and Sanchez draft otherwise

Also holding ours and Crows F1

I know what I prefer

I agree on mckercher at 2 but not on the other picks being late. I think 2 in the top 5 guarantees us mckercher/Curtin (although I'm not convinced we take Curtin over o'sulivan if both available)

If norf split 3 into 6 11

Then
2 6 17 18 would get it done.

Norf still go into draft with 1 11 15.

Although I maintain that we should take reid and split our F1 with crows for 10 14 F1.

1 10 14 23 37 58

Trade 37 and 10 to GWS for 7.

1 Reid
7 Curtin/o'sulivan
14 Charlie Edwards
23 Collard
58 ?

2024 still have crows F1.

I agree with you that it doesn't get traded if the Hawks are involved as I would suggest that WCE would want to get McKercher if we were to give up Reid.

Any trade would need to involve pick 2 but 2, 3 and 18 or 2, 3 and F1 is far too biased in our favour.

Prime Judd got us 3, 4 and 20. Prime Judd. Best player at the time.
