Last 3 dynasty sides in the bottom five of funding. Top five have no flags* recently (apart from Brisbane's three about two decades ago) with two flagless and St Kilda having just one in well over a century.

There's no level playing-field. You need a team of Sherpas going up this slope.

Edit: *What has Freo done to be bottom 5? I guess just 2 sides in WA is assistance enough?

Even pies got more money after winning a flag and having the most members in history. What's the go? Maybe we should ask gopies?
we make more money than them

When the RFC was on the canvas (with SOS), the ref was happy to count it out. But it got up of its own accord and was soon set to land a big blow (the Lockett signing) and so the the ref stepped in.

There was no equalisation then.

Meanwhile, blue paper bags were handed out. Etc. Etc.

I could just blame incompetence, or I could see a pattern emerging...

cotchin on the money as per usual maybe they should listen to someone that has played several hundred games, and a three times premiership Captain that knows what it takes instead of someone who is only interested in The AFLs stakeholders, shareholders and major sponsors.

"They're (the umpires) are adjudicating that as forceful contact below the knees which is the right call...." this is what Laura Kane said.

I will make a couple of points here. First, I don't think the player in Stocker's position should be electing to go to ground to contest a moving football, all players should be keeping their feet wherever possible in these situations.

But the second point is what Laura Kane said, that the umpires adjudicating forceful contact below the knees was the right call. There was possibly no contact at all below the knees, but there was definitely not any forceful contact below the knees. So her statement does not make any sense. Whether what Patrick Dangerfield did was reasonable when he drove his knees into Stocker is a more vexed question, but let's start from the truth here, he did drive his knees into Stocker.
