Rudest/Nicest player you've met?

Nicest guy was Wirra... Just wanted to chat all day... Chris Mainwaring was pretty good too when I saw him at the Grand Final last year too.. Cox was pretty nice and Woosha was hilarious..

Recently met Seaby and Hurn and they are champion guys too...

Rudest guy I have met was O'Loughlin at a pub in the city in Sydney. It was the off season and we (3 girls) challenged him to a game of pool. Turned into a complete child when I said that I was an Eagle supporter. Was carrying on about how they beat us the season before.. blah blah blah.. we ended up giving up the game as he turned out to be such a knob

-Gary Lyon is one of the biggest tossers I've met in my life. Thinks he is gods gift to the world.
-Wakelin (the Port one) was a bit of a tosser too
-Brendan Fevola is just a w***er. I wouldn't say Fev is arrogant, or deliberately rude because he's a footballer, though. He's just a w***er who happens to be good at football (which is unfortunate for him, really, cos it puts him in the spotlight)

Nice Guys I've met include Steven Silvagni, James Hird, Nathan Buckley (top bloke). Dennis Commetti seems all right too.
But the king of them all from another sport would have to be Andrew Gaze. I've never met anyone who is so notable (arguably in the top 10 all-time players of an international sport), yet has so much time for everyone around him.

In my experience, the A-grade players generally seem to be good blokes. Its the B-graders - the good but not great players - who tend to be arrogant and expect the world to bow down before them. I guess its just insecurity, really

The nicest players I have ever met were Jimmy Jess, Michael Roach, Terry Smith (RIP) and Richo. Barry Round was pretty good as well. The rudest was David Cloke and Robert Walls when he was coach of Richmond. Even after all the crap Danny Frawley copped as coach of Richmond, he was still a nice, friendly bloke.

dale thomas is quite rude, daniel chick is alright, scott pendlebury is a good bloke, wont meet a better person then robert harvey.

Pendles is an awesome bloke. Had a chat to him at training earlier in the year, and then saw him at a Willi match, and he recognised me and said hello.

Micky McGuane, Peter Dacios, Brad Rowe and Andrew Tranquilli were the best I've ever met. Absolute top blokes. Others who were pretty cool are Bucks, Monkey, Pants, Andrew Wills, Matthew Burton, Troy Simmonds, Jason Norrish, Roger Hayden and Andrew Seigert.

Rudest was definitely James Hird. Never met someone so full of himself in all my life. Didn't have the time of the day for anyone. At this particular function where he was guest speaker with some horse trainer, Hird stood away from everyone talking to an Essendon official who he came with, whilst the other bloke (can't remember his name) mingled with everyone there. Refused autographs also. Anyone who I've ever spoken to about Hird has said the same thing. Creep.

Gavin Crosisca is extremely conceited and rude, as is Franky Coughlan (former Saint).
My cousin also said he's a major snob, as well as Matthew LLoyd.

back in the very early 90's when carey was relatively new, we used to see him, anthony rock and a couple of others in the king st nightclubs. rock used to always be absolutely smashed and looked to be a nasty little bugger. carey, being young, always looked to be his "minder".
met steve lawrence, ex saints-lions, you can imagine what he would've been like, looking for fights.
met matt geyer (storm) at a reebok function 2 years ago and was sitting next to him during lunch.he introduced himself, asked about me and my family and then told me all about how much he loves his kids and family etc. what a top bloke.
darren millane was crazy, saw him doing donuts in his magna in the parkmore shopping centre carpark back in 1990 (preseason) while picking up chinese takeaway.

Nicest: Bill Brownless, Stoneham, Riccardi, All 3 Abletts, Nathan Lonie, Travis Johnson (even though he was absolutely pissed), Chris Scott, Piggy Dunstall, Rob Harvey, Nathan Burke, Spider Everitt.

Rudest: None. I dont know how many others will say that, but every AFL player ive met has been gracious and kind to me, as if its not a waste of their time. But maybe its also me, for example i didnt recognise Nathan Lonie when i met him (in a pub) so i had a nice chat about non football matters and he seemed interested to chat as if everyone else had been talking Collingwood to him.

And while not a footballer, i went to a meet a wrestler thing pre WWE Global Warning, and i met Kane who is brilliant. Was shocked i was allowed to speak to him for as long as i did. I was stoked, he said fans like i, who respect the work and time they put in, make it worth the sacrifice. He signed some of my stuff and i went away very happy. But my rudest vote goes to Terri, who basically acted as if it was beneath her to sign autographs to fans and wouldnt even say hello .

In Geelong - Ling, G. Ablett and Harley are by far the nicest. Lingy always has a smile on his face and is always up for a chat - top bloke.

To be honest the majority are actually either pretty arrogant or really shy. You'll never get a chance to talk to Scarlett, Milburn, N. Ablett or Mooney they just shy away, and King and Hunt are blatant arrogant pricks. The rest aren't too bad.

All of them are nice. Never had a single problem with any of the Freo players. Josh Carr, and maybe Dodd, would have to be the nicest. Warnock is pretty nice too. Him and Copping stayed behind a few minutes to chat to me and a few mates after training last season. Real nice guys.

why did buckley apologise for stopping a fight?

did barnard go off when plugger kicked the point?

can you explain the olarenshaw one?

Nicest: Gavin Wanganeen when he was at Essendon. Met Buddy Franklin once he was pretty mad.

Worst: Andrew Welsh. Saw him at a pub once and congratulated him on a win. He told me to F*ck off

The wet weather pies player??????, was knocked back, too pissed wanted to punch **** out of bar tender, bar tender told me, i kb'd him again, wanted to fight me, Bucks, (who was a little pissed) came over, told wet weather dude to pull his ****ing head in (really embarassed him), bucks then said sorry on behalf of all the boys, hour later when they were leaving thanked us for dealing with it maturely and tipped us a decent chunk and left

Barnard was normally a party animal loose dude, at a club in essendon, full of bombers faithful, he and micky symonds were doing "celebrity bar shift" (how 90's) we were all half cut by the end, when plugger kicked it, he was SHATTERED, so was the club actually, he left straight away, couldn't deal with pissed bomber fans trying to cosolidate him, cant blame him really

bomber and kanga players were there all the time, Carey felt up Barney and Symos chick housemate, she was crying, Barney flipped out, there was like 6 players from each team ready to blue with security standing in between them (thinking back it was really full on)so then Olerenshaw tried to play both sides bombers told him to **** off he sided with north, and then it died down, he wasn't at essendon for much longer

Never met him but mates of mine tell me Josh Carrs one of the best blokes you'll meet. Koutas a top bloke; Stevens is abit of a ******* when on the piss.

Yeah, he is. Bloody nice fella. Have great chats with him all the time at training (when I actually go). Also waves at me and my mates when he drives past in Freo. So many stories about Josh Carr that can be told...not one of them are bad :thumbsu:
