Pearce
Cox
McDonald
Draper
Davies
Muphy

We don’t need any more kpb yet

Injured
Injured and obviously no form
Injured
Good job but developing
Developing
Haven't followed much of his stuff

Doesn't hurt to have a spare for the spares.

Obviously small forwards and hbf's need to be our focus but chuck some loose change at someone. MacDonalds angrier brother for example.

💯 another McDonald type is needed. Cause Pearce/Cox bodies don’t hold up well.

Pearce is 2.01cm

Draper 1.97
Cox 1.95
Davies 1.96cm

A lot of the the three players play half back/interceptor roles.

Chapman at 1.93cm does that job and better.

It’s no secret with Pearce down, that Fremantle can’t cope with a bigger key forward target in Hogan, Curnow, McKay etc.
Cox and Ryan can’t defend and have been poor the last few weeks

I see Draper and cox playing similar def roles. But Draper is more willing to play on and probably will do more so, once he gets more comfortable.

Cox , seems to take the mark . Stops, thinks , then kicks it. Not sure, whether this is because he doesn't have confidence in his body coming back from injury, but for those that watched him previously, has this always been the case?

He's never been quick, but at his best he was much quicker than he is now. He's become Tabs level of slow after taking a markk.

Needs a good preseason in him but he needs to show some intent. Seems to have a laissez faire attitude at times.

Yeah I think that attitude is a bit deceptive, and just looks a lot worse when he physically can't compete. He's just always been the type of player that never looks stressed or rushed and it's a major asset when he's performing well, but when it's not coming off it comes accross as lazy.

Yeah his intent after taking a mark and then in launching any kind of offensive play is literally non existent, like set your watch to it type .
In fact he’s so bad now if even just kicks it forward /down the line I’m surprised
It’s unbelievable really and needs coaching intervention

Number 1 defense in the comp and people talking about KPD because Pearce was out. Cox was clearly hampered and McDonald only just coming back.

It’s the least of our worries.

We can’t build a squad based on possibilities of player availability being absent.

We need front half class. We still need a winger.

Definitely. Feel fairly safe when he's in a one and one situation and directly under the ball. However when the ball goes to ground that's where the looks of the attitude comes in. If that's fitness than hopefully he can get it right as I honestly believe he'll be our McGovern. However, it definitely concerns me that I've never seen him run and carry. Nor run in general now I think about it.

Legit seems incapable of picking up a ground ball since coming back.

Why would Freo be uninterested in Liam Ryan?
Take Banfield out of our side and insert Ryan we win against GWS and who knows how many others.
Probs wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg for him either.
No, because he's lazy frontrunner. The literal last thing we need is someone who cashes in when the going is good and disappears when its not.

I posted his stats next to Brandon Matera's a few pages back, see if you can pick who is who.

It quite literally does because list spots are capped at 42 or 44 or whatever it is.

Also, if there were AFL standard KPDs hanging out in the state leagues, another team who doesn't already have 6 of them is going to take them first.

I'd prefer to have a spare KPD on the list rather than another midfielder sitting on the bench at Peel.

We've literally got 5 spare KPDs. Sure they've collectively had terrible injury years, but there is no way you can justify having any more.

Peel reserves would need a reserves side so the worst couple would have somewhere to play.

3 of those are underdeveloped and unproven. McDonald is unproven to us as well let's remember. A couple of decent seasons at the Dees and then delisted, delisted by Carlton. Cox and Ryan aren't KPD. They are intercepts defenders.
