Carlton forward Matt Owies is at risk of being out of the AFL completely in 2025 due to clubs’ unwillingness to stump up a significant salary for the small forward. Owies, who booted 33 goals in 23 games this season, is out of contract and exploring options at rival clubs, with the Blues prepared to lose him. But some clubs have suggested he could struggle to find a home this off-season, with Owies’ asking price believed to be around $700,000-800,000 per season on a multi-year deal.

Lol carn Matt.

Why is a fringe level player asking for 700k a year?

Please, no dick heads policy
I'd prefer a no shit players policy which also covers those guys. Well, maybe not Membrey.

OMG 700-800k are you joking no wonder he's getting delisted. I personally think this guy is Mac and Cheese with a half decent coach and game plan.

We should really be looking at Gary Rohan, Membrey and Stringer. We need more weapons and we are in a very good window to win a flag

On PHN110 using BigFooty.com mobile app
I think we should institute a no Hinkley relatives policy. No bomb it into Membrane and just no Stringer for multiple reasons.

Esava till 2028 😔
probably take him to 2027 to find a position to play

I would do 13, 23,29 and Richard’s for Houston plus late picks going back.

In that case it would be 23 and 29 substituting for a 1st round pick, and I think that’s fair.
Very hesitant to go into next year without a F1. It could easily be a top 10 pick when shit hits the fan

To be fair we also thought that about this year giving our pick to Freo.

It could happen, but with or without Hinkley we still have a very good list.

Butters, Hornet, Rozee, Drew, Wines midfield alone can carry us to a bottom end top 8 spot in my opinion.

Trade 1
Port : Luko & Pick 23
GC : Port FP1

Trade 2
Collingwood : Pick 13 & Pick 29
GC : Noble & Collingwood FP1

Trade 3
Port : Pick 13, Pick 29, Pick 36 & Richards
Collingwood : Houston & 39

Net result :
Port Gain : Pick 13, Pick 23, Pick 29, Pick 36, Luko, Richards
Port Lose : FP1, Pick 39, Houston

Just for fun : Pick 58 > Caleb Daniels

I'm warming to pick up Bo Allan if we have a first rounder.

He would give us a point of difference in the midfield and allow the Three Amigos to play forward without losing too much.
I've liked him as a player.
Is he a potential flight risk though?

Trade 3
Port : Pick 13, Pick 29, Pick 36 & Richards
Collingwood : Houston & 39
If the list managers are 100% confident that there's little difference between having 29 & 36, and another first rounder, then I'd be happy. However 29 and 36 shouldn't be enough. It needs to be a lower pick. In this scenario we also shouldn't be sending 39 their way, it'd be more like the 58 pick.
