If those things are important to her - and it seems as though they are - it doesn’t seem like such a dumb move, albeit that her flirt with fame and relative prosperity will probably be short-lived.

It's my view that the fact that not only does get away with this behaviour, but that it is widely applauded by his media supporters at Lachlan Murdoch's Fox News and now features as a part of his rally shtik, which is reflective of the deeply troubling nature of not just US conservative politics but US society in 2024. The mistake is to view it as something that starts and ends with Trump.

It was pointed out above. I thought it was for Des Moines only that has always been Democrat. But yes it's for the whole state that have been pro Trump. Although the state does regularly swing between both parties.
