The plan ALWAYS was to get Kamala as the first woman-and colored- the Presidency. I was 99% certain Joe would go after the mid-terms to hand over to Harris. That was spoiled because he did unexpectedly well.

Clearly trying to get someone votes in by portraying them as a DEI hire, when that's becoming increasingly unpopular, isn't a smart campaign strategy.

If you want a female candidate, fine.

America is mysigonist full stop. A fair chunk of your typical working class male wouldn't vote for Harris, in part because she is female. Go an look at a lot of the comments from the far right winged element about women being vessels to their husband, or not being allowed to vote etc.

Women voters don't care about a persons race, sexuality or gender. But voting trends for males, the lower class, white males, particularly in red states. Show male voters from that demographic are more judgemental. Men have shown little support to female candidates across many types of elections. Trump won the male vote quite well. Whilst it may have only played a marginal part, it would have still played a small part in a tight contest.

Democrats have failed twice now with a female candidate. Though Clinton did have some baggage behind her. But voting trends shows a few men are still not willing to accept a female president yet. Sad but true. America is way behind the rest of the world in that regard.

Democrats may never run a female candidate again.

USA is the least progressive nation in the first world. That is a fact.
