???

Ginbey was trying to push him off the line, as happens in every single marking contest. Unfortunately, Lalor crashed into Brock's back.

Hopper pushed Day square in the back deliberately so he'd smash into his teammate.

They aren't even remotely similar.

Looks like a shove to me.

It's not linking for some reason

Scroll down, it's the post from yesterday with the Video of Richmond Vs the Hawks

Hopper shoves a Hawks player, Will Day ends up with a broken collarbone

Zero weeks for Hopper on a similar "coward act", thoughts?
I get your point but think the Hopper- Day incident took place around a ball up not with one person off the ground going for a mark so any pushing action was going to slingshot the player at a greater velocity than if he had two feet on the ground. Don’t think he will get weeks but reckon the next to do it will

What? You're not allowed to shove blokes in a marking contest?

What on earth are you talking about?

Have you ever watched footy before? It literally happens in every contest.
No, the way Ginbey shoved him doesn't happen in every contest. First of all, Ginbey was no where near the contest, he well and truly knew he wasn't going to get there whilst his opponent was. It was a last ditched illegal push that resulted in a broken jaw, anyone who played a minute of footy in their lives knows this. It was clear as day one of them smartarse lost my opponent pushes in the back in hope that it affects their ability to take posession.

You're allowed to shove - you just have to be sure it doesn't result in a head knock. And that shove was always going to put Lalor at risk. So it makes no sense what you're arguing about here.

I think you need to build a bridge my dude.

This action happens in nearly every contest for the ball where 2 players are running alongside each other.

And to answer your point of 'You're allowed to shove - you just have to be sure it doesn't result in a head knock', that's nowhere in the rule book.

I'm personally loving the absolute crickets from the Tigers posters when asked for their thoughts on Jack Riewoldt causing TB to have compression fractures in his spine without any punishment

Not a single one of them has addressed it, despite tunneling being a reportable offence.

Lol what year was that? Was a free kick awarded? Was he suspended?

Neither is a hand to the face but Heeney got done for it. It's a premise, not a word for word written rule. That's why you also won't find punching, fly kicking, hair pulling, headlocks, chicken wings and finger up the bum in the rule book either. You'll still get suspended for them all tho.

OK so it wasn't tunnelling then, what's this have to do with the Incident from yesterday?
Clearly is tunnelling that went unpunished. If you can't see that then there's no need for me to continue this discussion.

I don't get why oppo fans don't understand if you start giving out suspension for things like this, your team will also lose more and more players to over the top reactions.

Settle down - put your rage aside - it's something that happens multiple times in every game.

If it was a eagle injured in the same circumstance I still wouldn't want to see any kind of suspension

Cool .
What does the riewoldt barrass incident have to do with the one yesterday?
Just pointing out how OOT Richmond supporters get when it's one of their own and complete crickets when it goes the other way

You guys complain about the 'CFL', despite getting favourable fixtures year on year during their premiership reign

Not a fan of ridiculous hysterics for a football incident, especially considering who the OP is...

So concussion and a broken jaw after a deliberate shoving act that was against the rules and you say nothing to see here, it's just an accident.

Yes, you got it.

If you can break someone's back by intentionally tunneling and have no case to answer for a clearly reportable offence, then a bloke accidentally pushing a bloke into someone running back with the flight can be safely ignored.

Hysterics? You were the one accusing lalor of maliciously running at the ball too fast
