Just doing a bit of reading about my boy Jax, whose draft notes read thus;

"...at the WAFL level he had some monster games either side of the carnival. In round three he was the best player on the ground when he amassed 34 disposals, eight marks and three tackles against Claremont. A week later he tallied 28 disposals, four marks, four inside 50s and kicking two goals. His fine body of work continued in round five with 23 disposals, nine marks and six tackles along with four inside 50s. In Round 15, Prior had another best on ground performance with 32 disposals, four tackles and four inside 50s. It led to a well earned league debut and in two games he averaged 19 disposals and six marks."

He's still only 23. Brimming with potential!

Do we think he'll be a lockdown type player for us? Essentially in the Kelly role? And what do we make of his security within the team? Who would be a chance of taking his spot?

He's probably in the bottom half of the best-22; not a guy who's guaranteed to play every week if his form drops away, but seems to be a hard worker.

I'm assuming we roll with a similar back-line to the Geelong match which was:

Mckay - Reid - Ridley
Prior - Shiel - McGrath

Redman missed, so presumably he makes up the 7 defenders we tend to name each week.

I don't think there's currently a huge amount of pressure on his spot; Roberts looks to be playing Wing, Martin is up forward, Hayes is a tall, Laverde tends to be used more as a tall, and Clarke is a first-year player.

My guess is he'll play a fair amount this year so long as he's fit and working hard.

I think he's an absolute lock for your supercoach teams, should average 90 a game easy. Been training the house down and has a points friendly accumulation role at half back. Might even get run through the midfield, this guy I know has a brother whose cousin works at the club and he saw him training with the midfield group once
