They’ve got an amazing backline really - tall and mobile and marking. I’d like to think with Henry, Kolo and Stewart out they’d be stretched for height, but no. Still, maybe it means they’ll need to be more accountable?

The anger needs to be directed at the coach and selection. Not Murphy or milera.
We can be frustrated with them on game day, but outside of that, it's on the coaches.
Yup and I would say that the so called insults haven't been personal either as a few have mentioned, just the death riding of the spud players eg as murphy was for the whole preseason wasn't traditionally a crows fan trait and is a little bit of a low act to do. The problem starts at the top!

You asked for an example. I provided the exact example - now you are moving the goalpost.

Oh he has influence. They brought him in to help with strategy and assist Nicks. There is no doubting that.

The debate is on his influence.

That is one of the dumbest things you have posted - blinded by your narrative.

You think that the head of on field performance and the head of the coaching group hasn't watched all of our games from the past 5 years over the past 7 months? You dont think he has spent hours in the film room analyzing our structures and player performances? You think he ignored the scouting report when we Murphy played his Brisbane Lions 6 times in his career and 4 times in 2023/2024. You think that Murray Davis hasn't been at practice all offseason (or just didnt watch Murphy).

So in your crazy scenario in Round 5 Nicks has a conversation with the head of coaching and says - despite me dropping Murphy for the first 3 rounds I am gonna play Murphy. Murray then said - okay Mathew I have no idea what Murphy is like as a player but bring him in! Then after watching one game Murray Davis made the decision and says - I have seen enough!!!!!!!

That scenario is not just far fetched - it's stupid.

Nicks is the head coach. He makes the final decision on selection. You can't blame him for selection gaffes and then when we get it right say it's all Murray Davis.
Despite this world salad, it is exceptionally unlikely that every single member of the coaching panel thought Murphy was a must in last week

Then every single member of the coaching panel independently reached the conclusion that he needed to be dropped just a week later, after a game that was bang on his career average.

I mean, that's about the most outlandish scenario in BigFooty history.

Maybe the guys who were here last year when Murph played every game and was in the leadership group rate him? That's not a fanciful suggestion surely

Ah, yes, "innocent comments" like the private message you sent me 5 minutes ago (below, with my response):
""

Feel better? :sneaky:

Get a nice dopamine rush --- mmm --- from abusing a stranger, in a private message that protects you from Public scrutiny or consequence?
I pity the people in your life that have to put up with you and your anger.
Sincerely, seek help. "".
It appears you are not the only one getting personal PMs

Our selection is still a problem.

We're celebrating CORRECTING the Murphy drop.

Milera over Nank is garbage and we're at R5.

Borlase over Butts, especially with Murray out, doesn't make sense.

Keane as our only KPD today is either brave or stupid (I suspect Curtin will shift back).

Strong and ruthless selection to IMPROVE the side at all times is something we need to embrace.

Honestly, our selection failings are so blatantly obvious most of us can highlight them before the match.

Nice to be right - except we didn't even try shifting Curtin back.

I have met him many times and heard him speak in person. He is not a moron.

So he’s different in person? I’ve heard him on TV and radio and the bloke deadset imbecile. But again, you’re allowing your personal affiliation to get in the way of good judgement.

He might not be a moron, but if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck..... yeah you get the rest.

Neither do you

My prediction is he will play over Borlase in a months time

Let’s see
But you’re posting as if you do know.

A months time Murray will be back so that’s not even a prediction.

What about this week? You think he is still underdone so we should go with Keane on Hogan rather than Hogan?

Also since Keane has been in the team, including last year, has Butts ever been preferred to Keane?

Nah I don’t know

I do know he hadn’t played enough footy when borlase was selected ahead of him 3 weeks ago

That’s all I know

Why are you so obsessed with Butts ? 🤣 you and mutineer love him

Good honest shut down trier

Meanwhile people get confused about Keane

Keane v good against saints , shocker against bombers , honest but just ok vs elite Larkey

Then v good against Ben King who kicks goals for fun and exceptional against Geelong but people will criticise him for a turnover or 2
