AFL Toast RND 6: Win In the West

yeh we toughed it out against a vfl level side. The facts are the first half was a clown show, and still in the second half just critical errors. Some of our defenders just have no idea how to actually defend body 1 on 1.
Ok, don't enjoy the win then. I will. Happy Easter 👌

Are there any decent ones we can target? Any experienced ones?

Liam Reidy at the end of the season - 24 - Frankston boy - can't get a game because of Jackson and Darcy - was arguably BOG in the WAFL GF last year

At state level ones not tied to AFL clubs maybe Brayden Crossley (Southport) but my #1 would be Werribee Premiership ruckman Sam Conway (turns 26 in May)

A lot tougher than first expected but considering back-to-back interstate trips with a young squad Maybe we should’ve seen it coming to an extent. At times we looked pretty tired early.

3-2 is a good as what we could’ve expected And coming back from 5 goals down interstate is a heck of a sign IMO.

All feels flat considering Draper’s injury

Loved Big Pete having a mammoth game on return. Not only kicking bags, but looked good around the ground, found plenty of the ball and went hard a number of times. Hopefully he's got more of this going forward.
Slow start to the game and we looked terrible with our forward pressure, but a great return from him. If he plays like that and takes marks like that each week, we can wear the lack of forward pressure. Was nice seeing our forwards lead to different places, and Wright playing to his strengths and not trying to wrestle in the goalsquare

West Caloast played well. Their experienced guys were good and Flynn, Hewitt and a few others stepped up. It felt like they would roll over us so pretty happy with the win. We were the equal youngest team (with Westcoast) and had 17 guys under 100 games to their 14 - so its not like we should expect to smash them.

Shiel, Setterfield, McGrath, Roberts, Ridley, Duursma, Prior, Wright, Martin, Draper all really good.

Durham hard at it as always, Merrett was down on output.

Redman had a shocking 3 quarters, McKay concedes goals every week and teams appear to be targeting his matchup as winnable.

He's as dumb as they come. Between him and his brother they have about one brain cell.
