Remember like 20 years when the Saints delisted Matt Capuano midseason? I genuinely wouldn't be opposed to us doing the same to Soldo. He doesn't want to be here, and having people who don't want to be at the club around the place is toxic.Soldo was WOG by a mile. South kicked goals at will when ever he was rucking and didn't look like he even competed around the ground.
No sorry wrong. You have seen good footballers strutting their stuff without the pressure of SANFL footballI’ve seen better footballers playing in the parklands.
Finlayson in glimpses showed he was the best player out there & then glimpses that he was the worst player. The guy is so frustrating! There was a passage of play in the 3rd where he pivoted 50 metres straight in front and kicked a perfectly weighted pass to young Jack Whitlock - result a goal. Too much going on his life at the moment.Went in the oval at halftime, couldn’t believe how dewy the oval was. Would explain why it was scrappy at times.
For me there’s a lot to like about our draftees of last year. They all look like they have AFL attributes. Berry ran all day, was always looking to create something with his running and kicking rather than find a cheap kick sideways. Leave him there for a month to develop.
Lot to like about Lai, few passages of play that make you sit up and take notice. Really good size and takes the game on.
Barrett hits the contest and was really clean when he got the ball in hand. Passage of play I think in the 2nd all 3 of these boys and Whitlock went coast to coast to get a set shot on goal. Was good to watch.
Finlayson is the most frustrating footballer of all time. Warming up pre match he had a beautiful set shot routine, would’ve kicked 10 straight from 45. Get to the game and he’s using a totally different technique. So much talent that will go to waste.

Wilbur wasn't that quick, if we can inject his heart into Lai we have a monster playerLai is Wilbur Wilson level quick
Sweet and Dante drive off a cliff together Ollie Lord can ruck.Remember like 20 years when the Saints delisted Matt Capuano midseason? I genuinely wouldn't be opposed to us doing the same to Soldo. He doesn't want to be here, and having people who don't want to be at the club around the place is toxic.
At the very least he shouldn't be considered for AFL again unless Sweet and Visentini both break their legs.
I'm actually keen to delist him and Finlayson on Tuesday they're culture killers.Remember like 20 years when the Saints delisted Matt Capuano midseason? Looked fumbly and sore all night, lot of work on the bench. but didnt make dumb mistakes like in the AFL.How did Logan Evans go? Based on stats looked like he was decent?
Really rate him and hope he gets back to AFL soon
Lorenz was the main man in the midfield last year and has been pushed out by Watkins, Moore, etc.Lorenz seems to have caught what Evans has, he is better than that. Side note, Evans spent a lot of time getting his hamstrings massaged by young women physios.
Jack Watkins was BOG by a mile, he was going 100% as opposed to a lot of his teammates you can see how he was a captain at North Melbourne. Won the B & F the last 2 years and averaged 25 possessions. I could name 10 players on the AFL list I would prefer him to.I wouldn't mind having a crack at Norwood now.
I've probably said this before but Finlayson reminds me of Milan Faletic. Supremely talented but frustratingly lackadaisical.
He is so frustrating, but lead all players for tackles laid, should have kicked 3 goals and set up 3 more. But last night in a game we were winning you could actually see the selfishness of players trying to get noticed for league selection. Not just him either.
Of the guys who I have had hopes for in the past
Anastasopoulos, didn't mind his game, first game back and he worked hard to present as an option. He's a pest too. Can't see any outstanding AFL traits though.
Walsh makes me sad, seems to play with no aggression or confidence in beating his opponent. They need to get Greg Phillips out there to teach him how to defend.
Charleson, I've given up. Was enthusiastic singing the club song.
Jackson, still think there's a player there. Just don't overdo it.
Lorenz seems to have caught what Evans has, he is better than that. Side note, Evans spent a lot of time getting his hamstrings massaged by young women physios.
Williams, saw some things I really didn't like. You all saw them too.
The new young guys all showing something which is good. I could fit Watkins on that list in the blink of an eye.
Guess who had the most tackles in the game? Jeremy Finlayson.
Didn't notice Lai as much in the second half but he has something.
Burst speed to burn, strong overhead and he can execute at top speed which is a rare talent.
Berry looks very comfortable at this level, won't be there for long.
Screaming for the ball in worse positions and sulking even after we scored goals pissed me off no end. When Finlayson burnt two teammates and snapped at goal from distance which he piss blasted I think I totally lost any hope for him.
Yea it's all well and good whinging about defensive efforts but when you never draft KPD's until pick 439 it's to be expected. My god is it well past time we drafted some tall defenders early in the draft.
So, so bad in that department.
Agree Spoof came across as lackadaisical but leaves Finny for dust (imho).I wouldn't mind having a crack at Norwood now.

Do you think that the change of coach for the A side is having an effect somehow, as you mentioned Evens was great and has suddenly dropped away, may be they are waiting for Carr to be calling the shots.I wouldn't mind having a crack at Norwood now.

He was solid. Probably still needs a few more weeks before being considered for selection again. Doesn't help that Rozee moved to half-back. Though it does create depth in that spot. Kid is still only 19 and has plenty of scope of improvement left. Just needs to find his feet again. How did Logan Evans go? Based on stats looked like he was decent?

I was pretty disappointed in Walsh's performance. Gave up his position multiple times and even got caught holding the ball. Thought he showed a lot of good signs last season and was even a sneaky chance at debuting this year. The game last night showed he still is off from debuting this sesaon. My god is it well past time we drafted some tall defenders early in the draft.

Pressure in the SANFL, we must be watching two different channels. No sorry wrong. You have seen good footballers strutting their stuff without the pressure of SANFL football
I actually was thinking of the original Wilbur Wilson from Centrals.Wilbur wasn't that quick, if we can inject his heart into Lai we have a monster player
