He had the chance to select Edwards over Smith and he failed, simple as that. All other moves logical, could of been Schoenberg instead of Berry.

Draper needs some time with leather in hand AS LONG AS THE BALD douche bag plays him for a full game in centre once he comes back after another 25+ possession game.

We have Fogarty coming off of a shoulder injury, TT a dislocated finger and Tex who would be lucky to place against an amateur field in wheel chairs

No Silvani helps, particularly when both he and Weitering are currently rated in the best 10 kpd

But yeah, our midfield is shit

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't aware Smith part conversation. Saw feenix post in the end. Last time I saw Smith the kids do better perhaps. We certainly don't need to know anything from Smith, except he needs walking frame

Smith was cooked and should have retired 2 years ago. The only hope is he has been visiting that clinic in Miami that Lebron goes to.

Nicks is a loser. When the going gets tough he always selects the veterans. I am surprised Murphy didn’t find a spot in the team.

I never once said I support the changes because I think they are the best players, Did I. This was always going to happen rightly or wrongly and if you look through my posting history, I said numerous times throughout the preseason Nicks will pick the most senior side he can to go for finals. Well **** me dead, right again. I have said too I am surprised under that lure of finals, he persisted with Curtin and Draper for as long as he did. Didnt say it was a bad thing.

But here is the ****ing dose of reality. We cant win enough games to play finals by playing multiple kids learning the trade all at once at afl level. Yes it pays dividends in the future as they will get more experience, but at some point if we want to play finals we have to strive to win each and every game which means playing the depth we have. If we want to drop experience for kids i honestly dont mind. I love watching the kids play. But with that comes losses. If we dont think we can make finals this year with the senior list we have and need to play juniors go for it.

Do I want a finals or bust mentality, no. But its been evident for some time now thats Nicks focus. Not sure why you dont think so. He has always indicated this. Injuries forced him to play the kids last year.

Now, for 3 years Ive wanted Nicks sacked. Im almost 100% certain the club will use finals to certify they were right to stick with Nicks and probably im certain if he makes finals this year they will gift him a year extension taking until end of 2027. This is why I am glad he picked who he picked. Because to me this exposes Nicks badly and it removes the excuses the club has to hide the losses behind. Nicks has to rely on his coaching ability. If he wants to pick these senior players at the expense of development he has no choice but to swim as a coach. Something he has proven to be terrible at.

But dont take your ****ing anger out on me! I didnt select the side.

Don't worry that's why Murphy is in the 2s in the midfield racking up possessions. That way he can justify his selection of Murphy as a pressure forward. Question of when not if.
