I’m not sure this is true. There’s an element of calculation but I think he genuinely believes most of what he says, particularly this kind of criticism about players.

The whole narrative around him was ridiculous and vindictive. He proved last season he is a very effective player in multiple roles. He’s in his third season playing for the worse side in modern AFL history. Being a ****head to him because of a couple of games below the very high standard he set in his first few years is just being a ****head.
Kane still yet to bring up the more experienced Port Adelaide captain.

Horne has won 37 games since crossing to Port, with a strong argument that he has been responsible for winning us at least 15 of those games on his own boot.
Sheezel has won 7 games in his career so far. How many of those games would you say were won off of his boot?
Getting all the AFL Fantasy points means little when you consider this was the same club that let Aaron Hall and Zac Fisher rack up cheap possies off of half back that also didn't win games.

But his game tonight did little to negate Kornes opinions
Playing this seagull role behind the ball is a waste of his talent.
And I honestly don't think he's that good of a half back flanker anyway, he does not have enough leg speed or elite foor skills like a NWM to be damaging off HB
30 disposals but 29 of them uncontested, Only 3 score involvements and 9 turnovers.
His mark going back with the flight was impressive though

He's easily better than Sheezel.
He averaged 10 contested possessions a game last season. He is being asked to play a different role this season. This isn’t his fault. So the over the top criticism of him is beyond ridiculous.
