Danger had 6 goal assists and was winning contested balls and accelerating out of packs like everyone else was a litt kid. Had 9 clearances as well. Not only should of danger won the norm smith but it was one of the greatest individual grand final performances of the past twenty years.

Ive seen 5 geelong norm smith winners in my time. Dangers game was better than 4 of them.
You are so biased as mate, he was good but that was not even close to the greatest indvidiual grand final performances...

Only 1 of the Norm Smith voters had him as the best player.

Isaac Smith deserved it 32 dipsosals and 3 goals when do u ever seen that on the wing.

For argument sake can you compare Houli and Dusty?

2025 Geelong vs Collingwood and three of the best players on the ground are Dangerfield, Pendlebury and Sidebottom. We're in the twilight zone. :alien:
I wonder when they're going to start listening to all the BigFooty experts who have been telling us for years that they're all too old and too slow?

Im biased against who? Other geelong players?

People watching from the stands from a distance dont see all the inside work. Ask geelong fans who have watched the game multiple times. Nearly all say danger.

It's disrespectful towards Smith considering he had a better game based on facts panel of votes and stats.
idk why you are saying Danger should have won are u trying to up Danger's achievements? by adding a Norm Smith too his resume the fact is he didn't get it Smith deserved you need to accept it.

See the stats look pretty equal. Especially when you add in contested ball wins which clearly go dangers way.

Only problem is when danger dives on a contest, wins the pill, gets up, breaks a tackle, accelerates away from the contest and dishes off a hand ball to smith all the stats register is one handball and contested ball win to danger, one kick to smith. Yet danger creates something out of nothing.

Why dont you put up the stats for martins three norm smiths and compare them to danger and smiths seeing as you think this is the sole determination of how their games went?

No? Cos they dont look better?

Hahaha contested ball? Smith plays wing mate hahaha his role is not to get contested ball...

Danger did the grunt work setting up so many goals. Smith was the beneficiary of Danger’s grunt work

Poor man's Isaac Smith.

Danger is 35 and still dominating. They're not in the same ballpark. One had a great run for a few years. The other’s been elite for nearly 20.

Wrong

Dangerfirld is a magician that disappears frequently. He'd have multiple brownlows, premierships and NS medals if he was as good as thr hype.

I don’t really have a dog in the fight, I couldn’t care less. I love Danger, I loved what Smith brought to our club during his time there, I loved what he brought to that grand final.

My own favourite player of all time probably had a bigger impact than either (Hawkins) during the very limited period when it was actually there to be won, kicking two goals in the first ten minutes from the ruck and another when the margin was still theoretically retrievable for Sydney and he didn’t even poll a vote.

Smith to me played an excellent game but guys kicking goals tend to get a lot more immediate plaudits than guys assisting them unless it is blockbusting obvious (like last night) who is doing the setting up.

If you are a cats fan and you’re paying specific attention to everyone on the ground and what they’re doing, I tended to think Dangerfield had the better game and that stat line was imperious.
